The nominees for the 35th Annual SATURN AWARDS have been announced. This is like another Oscars but from Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films to honor the top works in science fiction, fantasy, and horror in film, television, and home video,… unfortunately some the titles and names mentioned in the list below, in my humble opinion, just don’t belong.
For Best Horror category, I can’t believe my eyes that The Happening and Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor are some of the contenders. And check out the Action/adventure/thriller category, what the hell are Gran Torino and Changeling doing in there? O ya.. might as well throw in Sex and The City movie in there with the bunch.. we all know how thrilling, action packed and adventurous it was for Carrie and Samantha as they shop from one store to another in NYC (sarcasm!)
The Dark Knight, however, is ahead of the competition with a towering 11 nominations, Hail, Nolan!
SATURN AWARDS Ceremony will take place on June 25th, 2009
Here is theĀ list, I only shared the ones that are movie-related
