NATIONAL TREASURE 3 and 4

National Treasure

National Treasure movies in my opinion are mind blowing only if you are an audience under 14 years old.
If I was on an expedition or an adventure to find something, I wouldn’t trust Nicolas Cage to lead the team.

But once again, young viewers and family people love these films, that’s why continuing this franchise to more sequels might not be such a bad idea after all. Yesterday, Disney registered two domain names: NationalTreasure3DVD.com and NationalTreasure4DVD.com.
Even though those website says DVD, it doesn’t mean that that they will not be released in theaters. And because of this writer’s strike, we probably won’t be able to see another National Treasure movie probably until 2010.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets” has already earned over $365 million, pulling ahead of the first installment, which brought in over $347 million, back in 2004.

Jimhill learned a few about what the plot might be about. The word goes that they’re going to continue the Gates family adventure to Easter Island to find the lost city of Atlantis. I’ve always liked that particular myth. The thought that a civilization might be far ahead of its time and suddenly vanish without a trace is very mysterious and that makes it interesting.
Their journey doesn’t end there are talks about pure, clean power power source that supposedly was lost forever when the city sank beneath the sea. The kind of power source which if it were to be harnessed today, it might put an end to global warming. This kind of info would result in Al Gore jumping and dancing on the street euphorically. Disney is planning to launch a series of children’s books called “Gates Family Mysteries”.
And they’re thinking about opening up an amusement park ride
This is what Nicolas Cage said about it…

“My biggest thrill would be if Disney was so happy with the movie that they gave it a ride. I love amusement parks and I love Disneyland and I would love to see a National Treasure ride. That would be a dream come true for me.”

Last info relating to this had Nicolas Cage saying that the sequels might have his character go global in his treasure hunt rather than just sticking with National stuff.
What do you say, movie buff?
Did you like the first two movies?
Would you like to see Nic and his family back in action again?
