Anybody sick of this Vampire frenzy yet? It’s not gonna get over soon.
Moviehole found this excerpt from the Herald-Sun Newspaper, a segment that implies a New BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Movie might already have a script.
The monster success of girly vampire pic Twilight at the US Box office last weekend could kick open the door for a big-screen return of Joss Whedon’s much-loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Rumours are circulating in Hollywood that Whedon has a feature-film script based on his hit TV series ready to roll as soon as a studio is prepared to commit.
Take this info with a grain of salt because the fact is that Joss Whedon has been fighting for any type of movie version to be picked up but none has succeeded, a made-for-TV movie would be acceptable to the fans but Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz said they’ll only reprise their roles if the feature film’s going to hit theaters. I hate it when average actors think they’re all that?!
I’ve said it before that TWILIGHT, in a way, can be described as ‘Rated T for Teens’, it’s clearly for teen girls who, in their mind, thought BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER series was somehow a better drama than The Sopranos.
One of the few things that I actually appreciated about TWILIGHT is that it doesn’t necessarily have those freaky, ugly-lookin’ faces that the vampires in BUFFY series will show whenever they turn into blood-sucking monsters.
The original BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Movie was back in 1992 starring Kristy Swanson who is now almost in her 40s but still looks as sexually appealing as ever and Donald Sutherland played the mentor.
