NEW MOON Plans For Italy

New Moon

You have no idea how many people have been e-mailing me and calling me, asking me questions about where they can audition for Twilight sequel movie, NEW MOON.
I told them I have no connection with the casting director for that project. Seems like the character Leah Clearwater is the most sought after role around but last info had it that Leah might not even be in the movie at all,.. at least not until the next one, Eclipse. On top that, word has it screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is going to go off tangent again with this one, by including more of Edward instead of staying exactly true to the book. Granted, I’ve never read any of the Twilight books but this all the stuff I’ve heard so far.

But the sequel continues..according to Variety, NEW MOON has landed its first overseas sale, to Italy, where the movie will be partly set.
Director Chris Weitz and the gang will spend 2 Weeks in the month May shooting scenes in the ancient Tuscan city of Volterra.
Eagle Pictures, which released Twilight locally over there, the movie earned $15 Million in Italy, has teamed up again with Summit Entertainment for the sequel, NEW MOON which will also be released in Italy on the same day as the U.S., November 20th, 2009.

Production will begin this coming March in Vancouver before they fly out to Volterra is the town where the powerful Volturi vampire coven resides. Previous info had it that Dakota Fanning might play vampire Jane in this movie.
On another note, over at the info on rumor about Ben Barnes playing Aro, there have been comments about whether or not he’d be a good fit to play the part.
