Yes! Finally… a talk about a new villain to give challenge to the son of Kryptonite. Don’t get me wrong, Lex Luthor is a pimp, but he doesn’t have superpowers, SUPERMAN needs to find someone his own size and it looks like that’s what WB is aiming for.
According to Latinoreview, WB is actively hearing takes from writers for a new SUPERMAN movie, the key is.. those writers have been told to come in to the studio to pitch a story with a NEW VILLAIN Superman’s Rogues Gallery but no deal has been made yet on which character that might be.
Last year, however, it was said that Kevin Spacey has signed on to do the sequel and was ready to get bald again to play Lex Luthor. Maybe he has a huge crush on director Bryan Singer. But now with WB hunting down New Villain, the assumption is Lex might get a smaller role or he might not be in the picture at all. Or maybe just like Superman IV, Lex would be the man responsible for this next superpower villain.
