We all know for a while now that Sam Worthington is signed on for two more AVATAR Movies and that James Cameron himself has an idea for the sequel, an idea that’s already on the back of his mind since the start of the production of the first installment which by the way has banked in over $2 Billion worldwide. Fact is, whether you like it or not, AVATAR 2 is going to happen sometime in the near future and via Hollywood Reporter, New Corp which owns 20th Century Fox, wants it…
News Corporation chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch said that they’re in early talks with Cameron who “has ideas about it” “We will be pushing one.”
But he also told analyst not to “hold your breath for another one” because AVATAR 2 might not be Cameron’s project or that it usually takes a long time before Cameron’s project finally hit the screen.
News Corporation deputy chairman, president and COO Chase Carey said both the company and Cameron want to make AVATAR 2
“We certainly both intend to have one,”
For those of you who want to collect AVATAR Blu-Ray and DVD, the product won’t be a 3D release because the technology isn’t quite developed yet but the AVATAR Blu-Ray and DVD will be available possibly during the company’s current fiscal year, which ends June 30.
