Holy smokes! Will we ever get tired of hearing or watching Seth Rogen?! That guy’s freakin’ everywhere. You would think that he’d take a long break to just chill and write his GREEN HORNET movie but nope, according to Variety, he’s signed on to do yet another voice work (Monsters Vs. Aliens, Kung Fu Panda, Spiderwick Chronicles, Horton Hears A Who). This time it’s for PAUL, a new comedy by the 2 Brit funnymen, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz). I got nothing against them and I hope they make movies together til they die.

The story is brilliant actually, I’m surprised no one’s thought of it before. Written by and starring none other than Pegg and Frost. It’s about 2 Brit sci-fi geeks on a road trip to a convention in U.S.A., their conspiracy dreams come true when they trek to Area 51 and encounter Paul, an escaped alien who will be voiced by Rogen.

Also cast in the movie are some more American funny people like Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Jane Lynch, and Bill Hader.

The movie’s directed by director Greg Motolla. These guys are like best friends, they’ve worked together at one time or another.. . Hader and Rogen were in SUPERBAD which was directed by Motolla who previously cast Wiig in ADVENTURELAND. Bateman and Wiig are in the upcoming Mike Judge’s EXTRACT. Lynch was in 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN with Rogen. Thanks to Rama’s SCREEN reader Jeremy for the heads up

Six degrees of Seth Rogen, anybody?

Jane Lynch: Arrested Development with Bateman, 40-Year-Old Virgin with Rogen, Walk Hard with Wiig, and this is her first film with Hader. She’s made her rounds in the American comedy circle. I’m glad she’s getting exposure!

And I didn’t know about Bateman, Wiig, Lynch, Hader, or Rogen. Thanks once again! Good day for movie news.

I’m actually more tired of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, while Seth Rogen still had my attention. But I guess the fact that Pegg/Frost were already “famous” overhere a long long time ago has something to do with that.

Wow. That must be a cultural thing then. So you’re from across the sea, Esteban? That’s awesome!

Yeah, here in America Seth Rogen’s the likable guy that doesn’t really do much, but he’s surrounded by a lot of great talent, and I’m still trying to figure out where he fits in Apatow’s Comedy World overall. I like him though, and he’s becoming quite prolific.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of Pegg and Frost. I finished the first season of Spaced and I adored that. The second should be coming from Netflix eventually.

Belgium actually. Well, Seth Rogen is well known by movie-loving people, but it seems like nobody else knows who he is overhere. Maybe that’s why I’m not tired of him. Despite the fact I do know every movie he’s in. While I realy want to see ‘Observe and Report’ right now, I’ll have to hurry (again) to catch it before it’s gone, cause it’s not doing well at all. It didn’t even made to the first ten at the box-office. Same happened with ‘Pineapple Express’. Just because he’s not a big name … yet. It’s strange how those things can be so different around the world.
