I’m still recuperating from my pneumonia so I couldn’t really go anywhere today except resting all day in my room, coughing like a sick puppy in pain. I don’t know why I used those words to describe the agony I’m feeling right now.. But fortunately it also meant that I spent some time online when Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro answered questions asked by the fans.
It started at 1 PM Los Angeles time and at first people were confused whether they were online or not. Peter Jackson and GDT had to convince them that they were live and they could ask them anything… related to the upcoming project THE HOBBIT, that is.
Most questions weren’t creative resulting in answers we already know like the location they’ll use to shoot the whole thing, which is New Zealand, not Italy and whether or not Ian McKellan is going to be a part of this one when clearly it’s been confirmed a while ago that he will indeed return as Gandalf the Grey.
Some questions were brilliant and thorough to the point where I wish I had come up with this one or that one. Some asked about whether or not LOTR would be released in Blue Ray DVD anytime soon, another person asked if it was intentional that THE HOBBIT will be released in 2011, which is 10th year anniversary since the release of the first LOTR movie: Fellowship of the Ring.
Overall, I think Peter Jackson and GDT did great in a sense that they were helpful in giving away explanations without spoiling what they’re currently planning and they also added in effective sense of humor in the response or conversation.
