Via comingsoon.net, a bunch of lucky journalists and reporters got the chance to sit down and chat with super producer Jerry Bruckheimer who’s got so much extravagant future projects ahead of him that needs to be taken care of.
I asked my friends about how they felt when they heard that Johnny Depp will be reprising his role as Jack Sparrow in the fourth installment, and most of them were stoked borderline euphoric and can’t wait for the movie to come out,.. I on the other hand am still saying ‘Not again! (sigh)’.. I did not enjoy Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End..

Bruckheimer said that as we speak, right now, the plotline for both National Treasure 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 4 are being worked on and they’re also in the process of finishing the story for The Lone Ranger and by ‘they’ he meant scribes Elliot and Rossio, the duo who did all three PIRATES movies and worked on NATIONAL TREASURE 2.

And then he was asked if PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4 will be shot for IMAX.. because it worked awesomely well with The Dark Knight and this is what Bruckheimer said…

“Absolutely. I’d love to do it, so let’s just see if we can work it through the production schedule with everything else.”
“I think they’re pushing towards 2012,”
“Hopefully we can make it we’ll see.”

So let’s see.. we got about 3 more years before the movie gets released..but it’s not deli dali time for Bruckheimer, he’ll still need to make sure things are going smoothly with PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME which he will heavily promote when the movie gets released in 2009.
