If you didn’t like the domestic trailer yesterday, maybe you’ll enjoy the international trailer for PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME a lot better. I’m not completely against it because this movie has the potential to take you on a wild roller coaster ride. The VFX isn’t that impressive and Jake Gyllenhaal’s non-Persian appearance may throw you off but if there’s one thing Jerry Bruckheimer’s good at is producing summer blockbusters so let’s give him and director Mike Newell the benefit of the doubt shall we. In the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced video game adaptation, opening May 28, a rogue prince (Gyllenhaal) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.
