O boy, here we go again, yet another rumor surrounding who might be the new CATWOMAN in the next BATMAN movie. E! Online reporting that it won’t be Angelina Jolie.. but Rachel Weisz might be the front runner.
Granted, Rachel Weisz is a beautiful and extraordinarily talented actress, she has that sexy, seductive look about her and I think she can pull this off but I just don’t see it happening in the near future…eventhough the website claims that Christopher Nolan will “for sure be back”, it’s too soon to tell.
They’re all focusing on trying to get those Oscars they so strongly deserve right now. And with the announcement of TERMINATOR 5 going into development, I figured Christian Bale is probably going to be busy taking care of the Machines for a while now as the adult John Connor.
But Rama’s SCREEN reader Rod has a pretty good suggestion that makes sense..
“i think they just need to leave burton’s versions alone. I dont want to see a new penguin or a new catwoman, but i really want to se a darker, serious version of Mr. Freeze, or The Riddler…the must get all the pathetic villians from “batman & robin” and “batman forever”. the Nolan’s version of Two-Face was just amazing…thats what i want to see…burton’s versions are great, so leave them alone and give the riddler, poison ivy, bane and mr. freeze the respect they deserved.”
