After an evening in Beverly Hills, hearing a possibility of another SPEED Movie wasn’t what I expected, especially considering the sequel, SPEED 2: CRUISE CONTROL was insanely uncool, I still can’t believe someone thought having it on a ship would be okay.
Jason Patric played a new character in place of Keanu Reeves who decided not to return for that one. The result was disastrous.

Well, whatever it was, Fox is going to have to try to convince him to return again because an insider scoop sent a message to AICN stating that there’s a script floating around that reintroduces Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves‘ character) So the studios are hoping to get Keanu back on board.
Yup, it’s not a remake, it’s simply yet another sequel. Right now, I’m open to this idea, I have no objection whatsoever as long as it can be just as thrilling as the first movie, because that whole scene where the jump picked up speed and jumpt over a huge gap to get to the other side of the bridge on a crowded freeway was still pretty cool in my book.
Whether this info is true or not, there’s no confirmation yet, in time maybe.
