UPDATE: Comingsoon.net and Shocktilyoudrop have confirmed that RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE now opens on January 14th, 2011 and PRIEST starring Paul Bettany, opens Aug. 27th, 2010.
I’ve been away for far too long today, so I’m gonna hit all the info like a freight train. Earlier today, shcktilyoudrop heard that the fourth installment in the franchise that many don’t give a crap about, RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE might have its release date pushed back as far as January 14th, 2011 instead of the initial August 27th, 2010.
When I heard this, I thought it was appropriate, what better way to treat a crapola than to dump it in the month of January…
As we know, RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE is going to be in 3D so the assumed reason for the move was that it would “take a lot longer for the post-production 3D processing work, so they’ve given Anderson a few more months to finish the movie.”
I’m surprised they’re not considering moving the movie to.. NEVER!
But Milla Jovovich found the time again to tweet and said..
“RE Afterlife IS NOT officially pushed. There have been talks of pushing it as they [are] not sure they can have it ready by July. We [are] trying as hard as we can to still meet the summer deadline though, so for the moment its still on for August.”
I’m looking forward to the film. Sad to see it being pushed away. It was almost within reach. You may wonder why I was looking forward, because I enjoy a pulp fest every once in a while that does not think of itself a the next big thing, but just that, pulp.
Fair enough
… but how long will this pulp fest last? how many more Resident Evil do we need to anticipate?
