After Boreanaz, Gosling, Yelchin, Roberts, and many more actors that have been rumored to wear the ring, it all comes down to these three men and one of them is already set to play DEADPOOL in the spin-off movie for Fox. WB has been conducting screen tests and Hollywood Reporter said the studio has spent 5 months looking for their GREEN LANTERN. Michael Fassbender, Henry Cavill and Jared Leto were considered not good enough and now the choices are Ryan Reynolds, Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper who previously denied any attachment to this project.
Producer De Line, Director Martin Campbell and WB each had favorites, so they ordered up 2 rounds of screen tests for these three candidates to see which one gets to play play Hal Jordan, Air Force pilot chosen by a dying alien to be his successor in an intergalactic police force known as the Green Lanterns. The decision has to be made before this coming Monday, or else these three would be free to accept other offers.
Reynolds is set to play DEADPOOL so I think they should keep him out of this, JT is a decent actor but we don’t need a skinny GREEN LANTERN singing and dancing, not many people know Cooper despite the success of The Hangover, I think he’d be the best choice out of the three but his lack of starpower may or may not hurt the movie.
The clock is ticking, production is supposed to start this fall with a budget of $150 – $200 Million and THE GREEN LANTERN is set to hit theaters in 2010.
