I wonder what Pres. George W. Bush thinks about Oliver Stone actually making a movie about him while the pres. is still alive.
Is it going to be mockery or something to honor his legacy that’s tainted with one bad decision after another?
Oliver Stone once mentioned the difficulties of casting actors to play the people in the administration because either the actors turn out to be hardcore Republican or they hate Bush so much, they don’t want anything to do with the movie.
It seems like the film project W might get its Vice President soon enough.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws) is in final negotiations to play Dick Cheney in Oliver Stone biopic movie about George W. Bush titled W.
No one knows whether or not the storyline would include Dreyfuss accidentally shooting someone in the face while hunting.
If Richard is in, then he’ll be joining the rest of the cast which include: Josh Brolin as Pres. George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush, Thandie Newton as Condoleeza Rice, James Cromwell as George Herbert Walker Bush, Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush and Rob Corddry as Ari Fleischer.
Lionsgate will release the movie on October 17, before election day, followed by a DVD release in January, when Bush leaves office.
Ya know what would be interesting?
IF Oliver Stone depict George W. Bush in his early life as a teen who loved smoking pot and drink beer and just wanted to have stupid fun.
Maybe Oliver would include some flashbacks… who knows.
