ZOMBIELAND 2 is doing it, JACKASS 3 is doing it, Studio Canal who owns TERMINATOR 2 wants to do it, AVATAR is obviously doing it and banking tons of money, next summer we’ll have TOY STORY 3 doing it. Ridley Scott doesn’t wanna feel left out of the 3D frenzy. So how about ROBIN HOOD in 3D?…
We’ve all seen the trailer for ROBIN HOOD, do you think it’s the kind of movie that’d be fun to watch in 3D? Scott seems to think so, at least that’s what The Wrap is reporting…
Director Ridley Scott is breathing down the neck of executives at Universal to get them to approve making a 3D version of his new $200 million epic, “Robin Hood,” according to one person close to the project
it would cost only an additional $7 to $8 million to create a 3D version of “Robin Hood.” The question is — what will that add to the box-office total?
It’s funny how it says “only” as if an additional $7 or $8 Million is nothing to them. But is this 3D conversion necessary? Unless it’s mo-capture CG, I personally want to see Robin Hood and Merry Men rob the rich and give to the poor the old fashion way.
The article suggests what Hollywood wants is to resurrect movie from the past, and instead of remaking them, it’d be just re-releasing or re-introducing them in 3D with newer packaging,.. which is old news.
But…I really don’t want to watch Precious and have angry Mo’nique any closer than the limit of my viewing comfort space.
