Recently it was announced that Robert Rodrrguez will reboot Predator and simply title it PREDATORS but I’m glad he’s not abandoning his other long overdue project that I’m sure we’ve all been waiting for. The full length feature film of MACHETE based on that hilarious short in Grindhouse movie.
Starring the ever cool Danny Trejo as a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator, and so now he’s bound by revenge, out for blood.
According to Variety, Rodriguez won’t be by himself in this journey, his co-director would be his old editor, Ethan Maniquis.
Production will start this June.
The question remains.. will they still be able to use the tagline “This time, they f*ck with the wrong Mexican”
I say they should keep that and plaster it in large font on the poster.
