We’re almost at the end of 2008, it’s time for everybody to come up with their own list of 10 best or 20 Best or 50 Best Movies of 2008, I’ll make my own as well soon enough and you can see it here for yourself to judge. Until then, let’s look at what others have to say..
I’m not a big fan of Roger Ebert, if I remember correctly he was the fat bastard who thought Gladiator sucked. But the awesome Peter Sciretta of Slashfilm seems to regard him highly so I take Ebert’s top 20 List of Best movies of 2008 into consideration.
Frankly I don’t get why SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE didn’t get in the top 5 and why the hell is THE DARK KNIGHT not in the top 2?! And Synecdoche, New York was too much of a weird movie.

This next one is the Top 10 list from Time Magazine, one of my bibles, I usually read it for the politics news, not so much for the entertainment but since it’s very well-respected in every aspect, let’s see what they’ve compiled… looks good, hmm….except for the part where THE DARK KNIGHT is not mentioned at all, WTF!
