Comedy says to Ron Howard ‘Welcome Back!’. Sure Howard was involved in Arrested Development series but as far as directing movies is concerned, the last type of comedy he did was How The Grinch Stole Christmas. According to Variety, the Oscar winning director has signed on to direct an untitled comedy starring Vince Vaughn, with script written by Allen Loeb who penned 21 and the upcoming Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.
Housed at Universal, Brian Grazer and Vaughn will produce through both their banners Imagine and Wild West Picture Show
Not much detail about the plot has been released yet except that it’s “an exploration of the comedic fallout surrounding infidelity between lovers and friends”. Sounds like it could get a bit dramatic there, which is fine because Vaughn’s previous work more or less took similar direction (Couples Retreat, Four Christmases). Filming location will take place in Chicago.
