He’s been bruised, he’s been beaten and battered, and now he will become.. expendable. My vote for the best actor at the upcoming Oscars goes to Mickey Rourke. If you haven’t seen his film, The Wrestler, then you’re missing out on one of the greatest performances in Cinematic history.
But what is it with Oscar worthy people and Un-Oscar worthy gigs?! Halle Berry was in Die Another Day right after Monster’s Ball, Jamie Foxx was in Stealth after Ray. And now Mickey Rourke is going down the same route.
According to Variety, Sylvester Stallone‘s effort to round up the toughest guys in the business has attracted his Get Carter co-star. Mickey Rourke signed on in THE EXPENDABLES to star alongside Sly, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Cotoure, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker, and Ben Kingsley.
God I sure hope at least one hot female gets to join the cast because where’s the fun in watching a c*ckfest?!
Rourke will play an unscrupulous arms dealer who becomes the go-to guy for a group of mercenaries who are clandestinely sent to South America to overthrow a dictator.
Written and directed by Sylvester Stallone (duh!) the production will start this coming March in Brazil.
