RUSH HOUR 3 Review

Rush Hour 3
Director Brett Ratner, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker teamed up again in what I hope to be the final episode of Rush Hour films. They also bring back some of the characters from the first movie like Ambassador Han and his daughter who’s grown up. It took… six years from the second movie for this whole gang to finally come up with this one. And as far as entertainment goes, RUSH HOUR 3 triumphs.

Lee (Jackie Chan) is dealt with a responsibility of finding out whoever it is that tries to assasinate Ambassador Han. Carter (Chris Tucker) as always is up for any adventure with Lee no matter which part of the continent they go to this time, that and he wants to get back on the detective duty again. And so they’re on to Paris, following a lead told by a French speaking Asian, which by the way is one of the funniest scenes in the movie.

Now story-wise, RUSH HOUR 3 does not have much to offer compared to the first two movies. But comedy-wise, this Rush Hour is as funny or maybe even funnier than its predecessors. Mostly thanks to jokes and comedic timing of Chris Tucker who seems to be gifted in bringing down the house with laughter.
It can get pretty silly at times, but still.. entertaining.

Jackie Chan, as usual, brings his A game again as he does all of the stunts and shows us that action can be mixed with comedy and that not all action has to be violent and graphic.
Watch for the fight sequences at the Eiffel Tower… anything that has to do with heights is always good to fuel adrenaline rush.
