Ryan Reynolds in the image above is the funniest Ryan Reynolds I’ve seen, but I don’t know if seeing him as a woman would create the same laugh. According to Variety, the man who will be GREEN LANTERN has signed on to star in an untitled comedy written by Allan Loeb for Working Title and the story is described as a “dude-in-drag romantic comedy”, Reynolds is a jilted lover who disguises himself as a woman and befriends his ex in order to win her back.
Tootsie, Mrs. Doubtfire, Norbit, Big Momma’s House, Sorority Boys and now this. How enjoyable were those movies anyway?! Reynolds does have the comedy chops, he’s not afraid to look silly and make fun of himself and that’s awesome but I’m afraid that he’s digging himself a hole here. That said, there’s still 50-50 chance he can rock this role and earn himself a Golden Globe nominee like what To Wong Foo did for Patrick Swayze.
