Or more like her career is the on that, slowly but surely, decides to die.
Let’s face it, Buffy’s choice of projects have not been impressive ever since she left the small screen for a shot at the big game. Freddy Prinze Jr.’s wife may have great cleavage but choosing good scripts is not her forte.
The Grudge movies, Happily N’Ever After, Southland Tales, Posession, and ugh… not to mention the ill-fated Scooby-Doo movies, I’m sure all the actors in that franchise wake up every morning thinking why on earth did they agree to do that in the first place.
If I were Sarah Michelle Gellar, the only way I’d show off my resume is by posting it on my refrigerator. I wouldn’t wave it around town from one agent to another.
And it looks like she’s about to make the same mistake again.
She is in the final negotiations to star in the movie VERONICA DECIDES TO DIE.
Why can’t they have a movie version of Veronica Mars instead?!
Here’s the thing, According to Variety, VERONICA DECIDES TO DIE was supposed to star Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns, Blue Crush)
But her name’s not attached to the project anymore.
That should give us a hint. If a film project has Kate Bosworth but all of a sudden now it has Sarah Michelle Gellar… we can assume that the movie’s probably not worth Kate’s time, meaning it would probably be only as good as any of Sarah’s previous films.
No release date scheduled yet but it’s about a woman who finds herself in a mental institution after a failed suicide attempt. She rediscovers her will to live after learning that she only has a few days left to live after the irreparable damage done to her heart as a result of her suicide attempt.
Geez…What a sad way to finally get you to realize that life is pretty sweet.
