Segel Makes The Next MUPPET Movie

Segel and Kermit

Who the hell is Jason Segel? He is the lead actor for the upcoming romantic comedy FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL, you can check it out the trailer HERE.
Who is Jason Segel? He’s the one who wrote the screenplay for that movie.
But the most important question would be… Who does Jason Segel know? The now popular producer/director Judd Apatow (50 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up)

In Hollywood, who you know has a major play in deciding whether you’re employed or not.
In Jason Segel’s case, his fame may still take time to be recognized by general public, but his reputation as a creative writer may find its stardom much sooner than everyone thinks.

Recently according to Variety, he successfully managed to pitch his idea for the next MUPPETS Movie and Disney liked it, and so… him and his Forgetting Sarah Marshall friend Nick Stoller will co-write the story together and Stoller will direct the movie.
Cool beans!
The fate of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the rest of the gang will lie in the hands of a few party boys.

You see… if it were just anybody who pitched a concept to Disney, they’d go “and who the hell are you again??”
But since Segel knows a guy named Apatow and since Segel made a tribute to the muppets in one of the scenes in his new comedy film,… now he’s got a deal with Disney.

Two words for him…
Lucky Bastard!

Now here’s the big question
We all know that Segel and Stoller are best friends with Apatow, and we’re familiar with their movies.
So does this mean that The Muppets characters will start cussing and smoking pot?
That’ll be the day, huh!
