Last week, writer John August wrote on his blog that the SHAZAM! Movie project was Dead, as in it won’t be happening, because the studio wanted a story that’s as gloomy as The Dark Knight. But MTV got word from the producer, Michael Uslan and he said this…
“I will only say one thing — and all I will do is quote Samuel Clemens to you,” hinted Uslan. “This is direct from Captain Marvel himself: ‘The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.’”
Difference of opinions between producers and writers is nothing new but who should we trust now?
Too bad Uslan didn’t elaborate further about what he meant with that teasing quote and if Dwayne Johnson is still attached to the project as Black Adam and if they’re going to hire another writer.
Maybe Captain Marvel and his lightning bolt costume will be brought to life in another format instead of big screen treatment.
