If you’re not liking the teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: ECLIPSE, then this vampire movie titled SUCK might be your cup of tea. Let me just start by mentioning the names of the actors.. Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins and Moby... that’s right.. also starring Jessica Pare, the hottie from that Hot Tub Time Machine red-band trailer, plus Malcolm McDowell (Zombie’s Halloween movies) who seems to be playing a slayer here. SUCK premiered at Toronto Film Festival last year and made its way to the recent SXSW ‘10, it doesn’t have a distributor or theatrical release but I hope it arrives soon because the trailer below, via its official youtube channel, is bloody enticing. As we know, the great Martin Scorsese’s next project is not SINATRA, it’s the adaptation of THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET based on the best-selling children’s historical fiction book by author Brian Selznick. The live action feature will be produced by Scorsese’s The Departed Oscar winning producer Graham King who’s been in talks with a number of studios to find a distributor, but they’re putting this project on a fast track and shooting is expected to start on June 1st, 2010 in London. No word yet on who’ll play the title role but today, Deadline New York reported, Sir Ben Kingsley and funnyma Sacha Baron Cohen have joined the cast… Read the rest of this entry »

When is George Clooney not happy? The guy has all the reason in the world to smile? O wait, he did look a bit upset during the Oscars 2010, but it was probably just an act.. I think. For an Oscar winner who’s known for being one of the most fan-friendliest stars around, Clooney is on top of the world. And now he’s in Paradise,.. that’s what we earthlings call Hawaii, filming his latest film THE DESCENDANTS, a dramedy adaptation directed by Alexander Payne (Sideways, About Schmidt). Co-starring Mary Birdsong and young actress Shailene Woodley (ABC’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager) probably set to play one of Clooney’s character’s daughters.
Hollywood Reporter said today that Judy Greer, Beau Bridges, Matthew Lillard, and Robert Forster have joined the cast as well, although their roles were not revealed.

When I was a kit I watched the re-runs of the old Mission Impossible series, both the 60s and the 80s versions, starring Peter Graves as the leader James Phelps. I know most of us will remember him as the pilot Captain Oveur in David Zucker’s classic spoof movie Airplane! And now sadly we have to refer Peter Graves in past tense because today the screen actor passed away of a heart attack, he was 83 years old.
