Spike Jonze has all the reason to be happy this year, his new movie WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE is one of the most anticipated adaptations of the year and many fans of the book will be waiting in line to watch it.
For his next gig, he’s going to take a step back and be a producer. According to Variety, Jonze has bought the screen rights to LIGHT BOXES, a debut novel by Shane Jones, which was published earlier this year.
Music Video director Ray Tintori is set to direct the project about a mysterious town that endures a long, deadly winter, 1000 days to be exact. Told in short bursts, the story concerns the war the townspeople bring against February, an oddly real and powerful character.
The cover page for LIGHT BOXES book is so light-colored, it might as well have been plain white, you can buy the book via amazon.
