Jason Momoa Kellan Lutz

UPDATE: Rama’s SCREEN reader Amra The Lion pointed me to LatinoReview’s tweet stating that Nispel wanted Momoa, Millennium wanted Lutz but Lionsgate didn’t like either choice so the search continues

Andrew McLaren As CONAN?

Andrew McLaren Conan

Today Rama’s SCREEN reader Tammy gave me a heads up, saying that there’s been rumor going around that actor Andrew McLaren may be the one to play the new Barbarian in CONAN reboot, to be directed by Marcus Nispel.
So I checked CROM and ConanMovieBlog and they’re all pretty much hearing the same rumor that this dude McLaren got the part. We’re still waiting for confirmation, hopefully we’ll hear something soon enough from The Trades (Variety and THR). For now, take this one with grain of salt.
McLaren is an unknown, he’s only got a few straight to DVD gigs in his IMdb resume but word has it he’s a military man and he blew everyone away at the audition and is already heavy at work with the physical training.
Don’t forget to check out the breakdown list of the characters that will be featured in this reboot which will start production in Bulgaria on February 15th, 2010

CONAN promises to go loyal to the 1930s original stories by Robert E. Howard’s original pulp stories, they’re aiming for an R-rating presentation.
