Breaking Dawn

Back in November, Producer Wyck Godfrey told the world they were about to embark on BREAKING DAWN, the fourth installment in the Twilight Saga that has gotten fangirls and tweens go ga-ga for Jacob and Edward. At the time, Summit was circling the idea of having the movie in 2 parts kind of like what they’re doing with The Hobbit and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. But no solid decision yet, however, Godfrey talked again, via LA Times, and said that shooting for BREAKING DAWN might start this fall in Vancouver and it’s going to move as either one or two films… Read the rest of this entry »

Breaking Dawn

The Twilight Saga: NEW MOON is the third all time best opening weekend movie domestically and it has won the first throne again in its second weekend bringing the worldwide total to $473 Million as of today. The third installment, ECLIPSE, directed by David Slade will open next summer but there’s still no sign if Summit will greenlight the fourth adaptation, BREAKING DAWN. You would think that with all this profit, they’d jump into the opportunity without even thinking about it. But a Variety article explains that the movie might come in 2 parts and Producer Wyck Godfrey said they have “every intention to make BREAKING DAWN”, read more and watch the video after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

Breaking Dawn

I’ve never read the Stephenie Meyer book BREAKING DAWN, I was told that it’s about Bella and Edward’s marriage and her subsequent pregnancy. Summit hasn’t greenlit the fourth Twilight installment yet but I’m sure it’s just a matter time. But wait, what do we have here? Has the possible footage from BREAKING DAWN made its way online? TWILIGHT 5?

Posted by Rama On August - 23 - 2009

Young actor BooBoo Stewart.. wait, is that his real name? Interesting.. even if it’s a stage name, I wouldn’t go with BooBoo. Anyways, he’s playing the character Seth Clearwater in the Twilight Saga: ECLIPSE which has started production, but on Friday, he shocked Twilight fans everywhere, via the vibrant video above, by implying that there will be a fifth Twilight movie after Breaking Dawn (Stephenie Meyer only wrote 4 books). However, Summit Rep, via MSN, said the comments by BooBoo..sorry I had to laugh there for a second, were uninformed and not accurate. So…Who’s lying here?

Robert Pattinson Says BREAKING DAWN Movie Will Happen

Last month, there was info that the Twilight’s fourth movie, BREAKING DAWN were in the planning stages. Whether or not that was true, Hollywood Reporter has heard it straight from the fangirls’ heartthrob himself, Robert Pattinson today, that BREAKING DAWN movie will happen.
Twilight fans can take a deep breath in relief because at one point, there were rumors that this fourth book was the least favorite in the series so Summit might not even plan on turning that story into a movie at all,.. it would just settle for a trilogy and that’s it.
Rama’s SCREEN readers Mattie, Ashley and Ashley Bratcher demanded a BREAKING DAWN Movie, stating that the franchise would not be complete without it, emphasizing Bell and Edward’s honey moon nights.
I’ve never read any of Stephanie Meyer’s books but I’m guessing the honey moon nights mentioned were pretty steamy… the kind of steamy appropriate enough for teen readers.

The second installment NEW MOON, will hit theaters November 20th, 2009 (check out the first poster). The third one, ECLIPSE will be directed by David Slade and it’s set for Summer 2010 release.
BREAKING DAWN centers on centers on Bella and Edward’s marriage and her subsequent pregnancy.

BREAKING DAWN Movie In The Works?

We just went through Harry Potter info previously, so might as well balance it out with another franchise that also has captured the imagination of tweens, the Twilight saga. Ya know, I remember the days when Vampires used to be feared but now those bloodsucking creatures are adored by fangirls everywhere, the world has gone out of control.

According to The Wrap, the planning stages have started for the fourth installment, BREAKING DAWN. Here’s how it all might go down. NEW MOON, directed by Chris Weitz, is currently filming with an estimated time of completion in May. The stars will take a break until November, when the movie hits theaters and then shortly after that they will get back to work again for ECLIPSE with a summer release in June 2010, no directors have been officially announced to take on this project yet.
After those two titles, BREAKING DAWN will start production in late Spring of 2010, scheduled for release at the end of that very same year. If this is true, then it’s gotta be one of the fastest produced franchise ever, 4 movies in 3 years.

Now, Summit Entertainment has no comment and doesn’t confirm anything regarding BREAKING DAWN. Some say the book was the least favorite in the series so Summit might not even plan on turning that story into a movie at all,.. it would just settle for a trilogy and that’s it.
My question is.. after Harry Potter is over and Twilight is done with… which other fantasy/adventure franchise will get to be the next fad and sit on the throne?
