EXPERIMENT First Images
Look, it’s the skinner version of Forest Whitaker. That’s cool, as long as he’s got that awesome cockeyed trademark, he’s still the Whitaker with Oscar worthy acting skills that we knew. BloodyDisgusting has these first look images of THE EXPERIMENT a remake of the 2001 German psychological thriller movie Das Experiment a group of ordinary men who never committed any crime, recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study that examines how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants. PRIEST Spy Photos
Take a careful look at these spy photos from the set of the upcoming adaptation PRIEST, via IESB and JFXOnline, I’ve never read the graphic novel it’s based on but judging from the Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet’s costumes, it’s kinda like vampire/sci-fi/western/something. And for somebody who’s playing a vampire-slaying priest, Bettany sure looks like an dark jedi out of a Star Wars movie. PRIEST is currently shooting in Long Beach, CA

Moyer And Collins Confess To PRIEST
Well ain’t that somethin’, I was in the middle of watching HBO’s True Blood season 2 when this info his the web. I gotta say I’m addicted to that Vampire series. It should be a non-stop all year round thing instead of just 13 episodes every summer. The lead star, Stephen Moyer will get to play a human in his next gig. According to Variety, PRIEST, starring Paul Bettany as a priest out to kill the vampires that have kidnapped his niece, has found itself a brother (Moyer) and the niece to be played by Lily Collins

Gigandet As Vampire Again For PRIEST
I once said that Cam Gigandet always plays some hottie’s boyfriend, lucky gig but it becomes his usual. Rama’s SCREEN reader Mimi thinks he’s a better lead actor than what I gave him credit for. Now you can add vampires to the list, in addition to his role in Twilight, but this time, he’ll be one of the good guys. According to Hollywood Reporter, Gigandet has joined Paul Bettany who’ll be the lead star in the adaptation PRIEST, not to be confused with Sam Mendes’ PREACHER Project.
Directed by Scott Stewart with screenplay by Cory Goodman, PRIEST is based on a tokyopop comic book created by Hyung Min Woo. Bettany will play the lead as the vampire-slaying priest trying to track down vampires who’ve kidnapped his niece.
Gigandet will play a young sheriff who is half-vampire, assisting Bettany.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the twist ending has him as a bad guy but that would be too soon to tell.
Screen Gems hasn’t hired anyone to play the Niece yet.
Here’s the official synopsis of the graphic novel..
“In the frontier of the American west, a veil of evil threatens to engulf humanity. Servants of the fallen archangel Temozarela are paving the way for their dark lord’s resurrection.
One man stands in the way of the apocalypse—Ivan Isaacs—a fallen priest who sold his soul to the devil Belial for the power to fight evil. Armed with a wicked blade and silver bullets, Ivan will give the heretics a baptism of blood in his pilgrimage for humanity’s redemption.
Ivan Isaacs was once a priest. Devoted to his faith he would have given up anything for it. Then the establishment he believed in turned on him, sending him headlong into Hell. Now, he’s back. With the priesthood now corrupt with demons, the undead and black prayers, he has returned with the help of the demon Belial, a voice in the darkness who offered Ivan a chance at vengeance, in exchange for his soul. With his six-shooter, a bouie knife at his side and the white collar of his former life adorning his neck he is a lost pale rider in a barren wild west where past and future collide.”
Cam Gigandet Vs. TWILIGHT Fans
Those Twilight fangirls can be crazy! Actor Cam Gigandet who plays James in the movie bumps into some tweens who think he’s actually the vampire villain himself. Luckily Gigandet has some mad MTV Best Fight skills
Cam Gigandet The New ROOMMATE
I remember watching Twilight, thinking ‘dude! Cam Gigandet is pale as a corpse’ The man who tried to suck the living blood out of Kristen Stewart is getting another gig. According to Variety, he has joined THE ROOMMATE playing the boyfriend of hottie Leighton Meester. In his previous movie, The Unborn, Cam played by the boyfriend of hottie Odette Yusman, in his other previous movie, Never Back Down, he played the boyfriend of hottie Amber Heard.. you see the pattern here? All he’s good at is being a boyfriend of some hottie.. lucky bastard!
As previously announced, THE ROOMMATE is Screen Gems’ psychological thriller about a college student named Sara who is assigned to a freshman dorm and to room with a stranger named Rebecca. But alas, Rebecca turns psycho and becomes obsessed and begins targeting the people in Sara’s life
Christian E. Christiansen is the director, using screenplay by Sonny Mallhi.
Filming begins in May.
