Chloe Moretz Talks LET ME IN

Posted by Rama On January - 21 - 2010

Chloe Moretz

Chloe Moretz gave advice that’s a bit wise for her age to Joseph Gordon Levitt in 500 Days Of Summer, she practically stole the show with her confidence and from the looks of the red-band trailer, her hit-girl character in KICK-ASS is going to steal the show as well. But Moretz is involved in LET ME IN, director Matt Reeves‘ Americanization of the brilliant Swedish vampire movie Let The Right One In. Moretz talked to MTV recently about what we can anticipate, mostly about her character Abby and from her explanation, it sounds like she’s not going to go far astray from how actress Lina Leandersson played her character Eli in the original version… Read the rest of this entry »

Let Me In

I hate to be the bearer of bad news so I don’t really know how to break this to you nicely, today is the day of mourning and lamentation because Overture Films has announced that principal photography for LET ME IN a remake of one of the best movies of 2008 Let The Right One In has started. Smit-McPhee, Moretz And Jenkins Will LET You IN

Posted by Rama On October - 1 - 2009

Let Me In

The remake of Let The Right One In has finally found its cast. I’m having a hard time blogging this, but I need to move past the fact that Cloverfield director Matt Reeves is going to ruin one of my favorite movies last year, so I should just take it like a man. According to Heatvision, it’s been confirmed that Kodi Smit-McPhee, who we can see in The Road this fall, will be playing Owen (Oskar in the original film) and Chloe Moretz, the chatty little sister in 500 Days of Summer and can be seen in the upcoming Kick-Ass, will be playing Abby (Eli in the original film) and Richard Jenkins has also joined the cast as the father/caretaker (Hakan in the original film). Phillip Seymour Hoffman was previously rumored for the role but that turned out to be not true.

The story is about Owen, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Abby, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.
Th remake is titled LET ME IN, it will start shooting this fall in New Mexico, although it’s initially set in Colorado, and it’s scheduled to open in theaters on January 15th, 2010, that release month should give you an idea of the quality of this movie.

KICK-ASS Girl New Photo

KickAssGirl

Damn! That is a big-ass gun for a little girl to handle, my eyes may be old but she looks like she’s been crying too but don’t let her fool you We saw the previous image of her posing and now slashfilm has the new image of Chloe Moretz as Mindy Macready, a pre-teen assassin who’s been trained by her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) in the upcoming adaptation KICK-ASS, directed by Matthew Vaughn.
By the way, the complete schedule for Comic-Con 2009, hopefully it’s one that doesn’t have to make me choose between two awesome events happening at the same time, I hate when that happens.
Master blogger Peter Sciretta said that KICK-ASS panel will take place on Thursday, July 23 towards the end of the day, it’s not clear though whether it’d be in HALL-H or some other ballroom in the convention. I’m sure we’ll hear something soon enough.

KICK-ASS centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.
Aaron Johnson plays title character, while Lyndsy Fonseca plays the object of the teen’s infatuation who believes Dave is gay. Cage is a former cop who wants to bring down a druglord and has trained his daughter (Chloe Moretz) to be a lethal weapon.
