And just like the the info from Fox411 got scrapped today, turns out TV’s The Office star John Krasinski is NOT the studio’s top favorite to play Steve Rogers in the upcoming live action Marvel movie THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA, directed by Joe Johnston. THE LOSS OF A TEARDROP DIAMOND Trailer

The Loss Of Teardrop Diamond

Stella! That’s the famous line from Streetcar Named Desire starring the late great Marlon Brando. What a great film. After 40 years, screenwriter’s Tennessee Wiliams‘ work THE LOSS OF A TEARDROP DIAMOND, which was supposed to be his third collaboration with Elia Kazan (Baby Doll) but it never took place, will finally hit the big screen. Unfortunately, no signs of Brando or actors equivalent to his skills. I think Bryce Dallas Howard (daughter of Ron Howard) is a talented actress but we’ll just have to see whether or not this performance would be her finest hour. I’m sorry, but the idea of Chris Evans being a poor man just doesn’t seem realistic, it’s laughable if you ask me.
Ya know how most trailers would emphasize the director or the stars, the honor for this one belongs to Tennesse Williams. Via comingsoon.net, watch the trailer after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

Sharon Stone

I had to make the title of this post sound sensual out of respect for Sharon Stone. I was going to describe her as a has-been but have you looked at her photos lately?! It’s as if time stood still, and she still looked the bombshell that she was in the late 80s and early 90s. Must’ve been all those years of sexercise. And say what you want about her but that Oscar nominee title (for Casino) will stick with her til the day she dies no matter how many lame movies she will make in the future, speaking of which.. in a recent Prestige Magazine article praising her 30 years of movie career, it was revealed that Chris Evans and Valkyrie’s Carice Van Houten will co-star in Sharon Stone’s movie SATISFACTION. The 51 year old blond hottie had this to say about the plot…

“about a male prostitute in London who loses the older woman who’s been taking care of him, and the call-out agency he’s worked for is tired of his behavior and don’t want to send him out any more. He goes looking for someone else to take care of him and he keeps trying to come on to [my character]. You think they have legitimately fallen in love, by his behavior and her behavior – until the call-out service starts sending him out again while he’s with her. He starts trying to break her down. And it’s incredible what they do together: a very, very fascinating journey.”

Yup, sounds like it’s going to be your typical Sharon Stone movie where the nudity and the hardcore sex scenes are the only things that kept us from going bored. It better have those elements, what else would we be watching it for?!

The Losers

Stringer Bell.. ehm, I mean.. actor Idris Elba has posted this first look photo via his Twitter, it’s the guys of THE LOSERS, from left to right are Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Chris Evans, Oscar Jaenada, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan just chillin’ for the camera, on the film set somewhere in Puerto Rico. That’s odd, they’re in an exotic place, in between takes and they got no pina colada in their hands?!

Fox Gets Goldsman To Produce FANTASTIC FOUR The Reboot

Posted by Rama On August - 31 - 2009

Fantastic Four

Well that was quick. On the same day that Disney said it’s buying Marvel entertainment, Fox is putting on the fast track its plan to re-boot FANTASTIC FOUR. Disney may own Marvel’s 5000 characters but the previous deals Marvel made with other studios before today’s shocking event remain in motion until further notice. That means Fox which has been responsible for X-Men movies, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and its Japan story sequel, Deadpool spin-off and of course FANTASTIC FOUR, can still control these titles as long as it continues making the movies while Marvel remains a producer and financial participant through a licensing agreement.

Variety reported that Fox has summoned Akiva Goldsman, the Oscar winning screenwriter of A Beautiful Mind and producer of I Am Legend, to be the producer and to oversee FANTASTIC FOUR the reboot.
The new script will be written by Michael Green, the co-writer of the upcoming DC adaptation, GREEN LANTERN starring Ryan Reynolds
No word yet whether Ioan Gruffud, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis will reprise their roles again as Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. But let’s face it, they were awful and why bother calling it a reboot if you keep the same players?!
The first movie, Fantastic Four (2005) was made with a budget of $100 Million and only earned $150 Million, the second one did just as bad, Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007) was made with a budget of $130 Million and only earned $131 Million.
Who do you think should be cast as the new FANTASTIC FOUR?

First Image: Chris Evans As Lucas Lee In SCOTT PILGRIM

Well, it’s not really an image from the movie showing Chris Evans as Lucas Lee in a scene but Edgar Wright’s blog does have the photo above showing samples of fake movie posters starring the pro skateboarder turned movie star, Lucas Lee who is also the second evil ex of Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) would have to fight all her seven evil exes to win her heart.
