Christopher Walken is da man! In a recent Halloween appearance on BBC1’s Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, instead of showcasing his usual talent, dancing or singing, Walken read the lyrics to Lady Gaga’s song POKER FACE. It’s way funnier than Cartman’s rendition. You have got to check out the vibrant video below because once Walken got to the part that says “oh” and “pa-pa”, I was on the floor laughing… Read the rest of this entry »
Kevin Spacey The Great Impersonator
You wanna know how great of an actor Kevin Spacey is? Just watch the vibrant video below where he shared with the world his great skills in impersonating al pacino, marlon brando, christopher walken, clint eastwood, jack lemmon and more. THE IRISHMAN Trio
Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems Irish is getting to be a more popular ethnic, if you will, in cinema. I watched TV the other day and Dennis Leary’s series Rescue Me was on and there was so much Irish pride in that show, The Departed was about Irish mobster, Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale’s next project THE FIGHTER is about 2 Irish brothers. And here’s another one…
According to Hollywood Reporter, the Punisher Ray Stevenson, the old multi-talented Christopher Walken, and the has-been Val Kilmer are going to star in the mobster movie adaptation THE IRISHMAN based on the novel TO KILL THE IRISHMAN: THE WAR THAT CRIPPLED THE MAFIA about “the true story of fearless Irish-American racketeer Danny Green who takes on the mob in the 1970s. The end result is the fall of several Mafia families and the defection of high-ranking mobsters. Author Rick Porrello is a veteran cop who wrote about his mob roots in The Rise and Fall of the Cleveland Mafia”
Stevenson will play Danny Greene, Walken will play the loan shark and nightclub owner Shondor Birns, and Kilmer will play a Cleveland police detective who befriends Greene. Production will start May 19th in Detroit. The script was written by Jeremy Walters and Jonathan Hensleigh who by the way wrote Tom Jane’s The Punisher and Jumanji.
After having seen Johnny Depp’s new movie PUBLIC ENEMIES (which is absolutely thrilling) I’ve come to realize that I can’t get enough of mobster/gangster movies. It’s a genre that I’ll probably will never get bored of. But with THE IRISHMAN, the thing I’m worried about is associating with Val Kilmer. If you’ve looked up online, you’d notice that you won’t even recognize half the titles he’s done in the last 10 years. I sure hope Walken and Stevenson don’t get dragged down to his level.
