Peacock1

The Playlist found the official website of the movie PEACOCK which has been filmed a while ago but hasn’t hit theaters yet, it’s expected to arrive this year. A hitchcockian thriller Starring Cillian Murphy with multiple personalities (one male, one female). Also starring Susan Sarandon, Ellen Page and Bill Pullman.
Cillian Murphy delivers a career defining performance as John Skillpa, a quiet bank clerk living in tiny Peacock, Nebraska, who prefers to live an invisible life. This might have to do with John’s secret: he has another personality no one knows about, a woman who each morning does his chores and cooks him breakfast before he starts his day.
Then, in a moment, everything changes. View more images after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

Inception

Ellen Page previously said don’t bother trying to figure out director Christopher Nolan’s INCEPTION and just love it when it comes out in July 2010. That’s cool and all but, I don’t know about you, the curiosity and the suspense are killing me. The teaser trailer is awesome thanks to that rotating hallway but it doesn’t give away much. Page might not be able to say anything but Cillian Murphy was willing to share just a little bit, via MTV, and so was Michael Caine, via Empire. The difference is one got to read the entire script while the other got to read only his page for a good reason…. Read the rest of this entry »

Parallel Pictures Invites Irish Stars For A SWIM And A VIRGIN

Posted by Rama On September - 2 - 2009

Colin Farrell, Cillian Murphy, Gabriel Byrne, Brandon Gleeson

This may not be stationed in Hollywood but the following projects have a great group of foreign actors that have done quite well in Hollywood. According to Variety, Irish production company Parallel Pictures is gathering the fighting Irish talents for 2 projects. The first one is the adaptation AT SWIM-TWO-BIRDS based on the book by Irish author Flann O’Brien’s. It’s “the story of an Irish college student who, half to amuse himself and half to avoid work, writes an irreverent novel about the figures of Irish myth and legend in which characters come to life and riot against their author.”
This will mark the directorial debut of Irish actor Brendan Gleeson who will also be in the cast along with In Bruges co-star, Irish bad boy Colin Farrell, Batman Begins‘ Scarecrow Cillian Murphy and Usual Suspect’s Gabriel Byrne. It’s a $11 million project and Gleeson himself wrote the screenplay.

The next project is THE VIRGIN OF LAS VEGAS.. I didn’t know such a thing exists in that town… the movie will be produced by Alan Moloney and (drumroll please)…U2’s Bono, the Irish King.
Liam Neeson is set to star as an aging show band singer, prone to drink and living in Vegas who finds his life turned on its head following the arrival of a mysterious stranger.
Written by Barry Devlin, production costs $14 Million.
