I thought the promo red-band trailer for LEAVES OF GRASS was hilarious, this official one, via Apple, on the other hand, not so much but still shows you how excellent Edward Norton’s performance is considering he has to act side-by-side his ‘identical twin’. The movie will finally open this Spring. Watch Richard Dreyfuss using menorah as a weapon of choice after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »
LEAVES OF GRASS New Poster
AICN got its hands on the official poster for LEAVES OF GRASS, a stoners comedy which, unlike HIGH SCHOOL posters, is unable to post any type of weed image or even an idea of marijuana on the artwork, so it focuses more on the fact that Edward will be playing 2 characters, check out the hilarious promo trailer, some say the movie might this theaters this Spring, let’s hope that’s the case because Norton is a great actor and I think this blunt going to be so funny, you won’t have to be under any type of influence just to enjoy it. Overture To Distribute STONE
The promo trailer of STONE that got leaked online back in September got me all hyped up about the reunion of Edward Norton and Robert De Niro, two great actors from two generations who are collaborating again since The Score. I just hope Milla Jovovich ’smediocre acting doesn’t ruin the moment. Based on a play by Junebug screenwriter Angus MacLachlan. Robert De Niro will play a parole officer who develops a certain friendship with a teaching assistant (Milla Jovovich) who happens to be the lover an inmate (Edward Norton)
Scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters sometime in 2010. Via comingsoon.net, STONE has Overture Films as its distributor. Press release after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »
LEAVES OF GRASS Trailer
If last year we had Pineapple Express, this year or possibly next year I should say, LEAVES OF GRASS would be THE stoner comedy everybody’s going to be anticipating. Check out the must see trailer below. one, because watching 2 Edward Nortons arguing with each other is hilarious, two, because hearing one of the Edward Nortons talk in thick Southern accent is downright funny… Read the rest of this entry »
FREE Screenings Of FIGHT CLUB To Celebrate The Arrival Of The 10th Anniversary Blu-Ray Release
By now, if you haven’t checked out the new website for the 1999 David Fincher’s classic film FIGHT CLUB, then what are you waiting for? Granted, welcometofc.com might not have that much to offer but the arrival of the Blu-Ray edition this Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 is quite historic at least to some of us who thought the movie was as mindboggling as it was badass and we still ‘don’t talk about FIGHT CLUB‘.

Edward Norton Talks AVENGERS: Purely A Function Of Time
I didn’t think Eric Bana gave a terrible Bruce Banner portrayal, I just thought Edward Norton made his more convincing. When it comes to THE AVENGERS Movie which gathers every Marvel Superhero into one epic colossal flick, scheduled to open in 2012, the questions relating to Norton have always been about whether he’d reprise his role as Bruce Banner, if he’s doing cameo in other Marvel movies and if Hulk is prepped to be the ultimate villain in THE AVENGERS.
MTV had a chance to talk with the Oscar nominee and received 2 out of those 3. But the answers are mostly depends on how busy he is and if he has the time to do all that the fans want him to do.
“The thing about their universe that’s fun is that it all cross-pollinates,”
“Even when I was working on the ‘Incredible Hulk’ script, I tried to plug in the whole super-soldier serum thing from Captain America. “There are limitless permutations,”
“It’s purely a function of time,”
“It’s always about just working things out on the schedule.”
I tend to keep my head in the thing I’m doing and I don’t speculate or worry too much about what two or three blocks down the thing is going to be. I know all these things will reveal themselves and work out or not.
As much as I’d like to see Ed Norton return as Bruce Banner again, I’m not keeping my hopes up because if there’s one thing I’ve learned is that when push comes to shove, Marvel is not afraid to disappoint the fans and hire another actor to play the role.
STONE And THE MECHANIC Unofficial Promo Posters
Once in a while you encounter artwork or trailer or footage for a movie that are so kick-ass and you wonder whether or not a studio had released them. Collider got its hands on a couple of promo posters that are unofficial but made just to influence an individual or a specific group, not for theater’s lobby. Click on the images above to enlarge. The one on the left is STONE, starring Edward Norton and Robert De Niro, the story centers on a prisoner and a corrections officer battling over the man’s attempt at parole. The proceedings get ugly when the convict’s wife gets involved with the officer.
The one on the right is THE MECHANIC, a remake of Charles Bronson’s 1972 classic, starring Jason Statham, about a veteran hitman who trains a younger man in his deadly trade.
I wouldn’t be surprised if I get an e-mail soon enough asking me to remove these images but for now, enjoy these black and white goodness.
STONE Promo Trailer
STONE has yet to have a release date but the promo trailer is online. NuImage/Milleniums often has its promo trailers show up online just like what happened to Rambo and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans for marketing purposes.
Based on a play by Junebug screenwriter Angus MacLachlan. Robert De Niro will play a parole officer who develops a certain friendship with a teaching assistant (Milla Jovovich) who happens to be the lover an inmate (Edward Norton)
Scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters sometime in 2010, STONE reunited Norton and De Niro since The Score
De Niro And Norton Reunite For STONE
Via comingsoon.net, Edward Norton and Robert De Niro will reunite since their previous gig in THE SCORE to star in the project STONE
My hero Robert De Niro could use a life line since his disastrous Righteous Kill last year. For a moment there, I thought we’d lost The Godfather man forever. The Incredible Hulk has put Edward Norton as an excellent Bruce Banner in our geek world but a gig with Robert De Niro could get him on his acting toes again. There’s nothing like going face to face with one of the greatest.
This will also reunite Norton with his Painted Veil director John Curran.
Filming will begin in May with a story based on a play by Junebug screenwriter Angus MacLachlan. So far the plot is only this…De Niro will play a parole officer who develops a friendship with a teaching assistant.
Sounds like a potential heavy drama, I’m just hoping somewhere along the way somehow there’ll be heist, thrill, and F-bombs exchange from both attitudes.
