Marco.. Polo!… Marco.. Polo!… sadly the following info is not a movie project about that silly water game. It’s a about the trader/explorer Marco Polo but.. it’s not a biopic, it’s a fantasy/adventure, so expect something fun instead of heavy drama. Variety said I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence will helm the project for Warner Bros… Read the rest of this entry »

SGT. ROCK Goes Into The Future
I’m not too familiar with the DC comics’ SGT. ROCK but it has been passion project for super producer Joel Silver for nearly 20 years and it will now finally see the light of day, for reals this time. According to Hollywood Reporter, Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) is set to direct, scribe Chad St. John will write the screenplay and Akiva Goldsman will help Silver in producing the project that will be housed at Warner Bros. Will Smith Is So Awesome, Manhattan CITY Splits Off
Will Smith, just hearing that name makes you wanna run to the nearest theater and check out his latest movie, the man attracts audiences like no other. I can even forget the silly days of Wild Wild West and Jiggy With It. The most bankable actor on the planet is going to reunite with I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence
According to Variety and THR, the project is called THE CITY THAT SAILED, housed by 20th Century Fox, produced by Smith’s Overbrook banner. Check this story out, it’s a drama about a father who’s a NY street magician and his daughter who lives all the way in England, due to family circumstances. The girl discovers a room with magic candles in a lighthouse and she wishes to be reunited with her father, their bond is so strong, Manhattan breaks away and drifts across the Atlantic
And you thought aging backward was trippy, huh! Hey, you asked for originality, you got one. Unless there was some 1930 something movie that had the same outrageous plot that I didn’t know about.
Screenwriter Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean’s Eleven) will rewrite the script originally penned by scribe Andrew Niccol (Truman Show). The studio bought the spec script back in 2006
Will Smith may have said yes but it doesn’t mean this movie’s going to happen anytime soon because Lawrence still wants to direct the adaptation WATER FOR ELEPHANTS based on the Sara Gruen novel. Reese Witherspoon is in talks to star in the story of a Depression-era traveling circus. And unfortunately for all of us, Will Smith is currently busy being a producer of THE KARATE KID The remake starring his son Jaden Smith. Life can be cruel sometimes
