When is George Clooney not happy? The guy has all the reason in the world to smile? O wait, he did look a bit upset during the Oscars 2010, but it was probably just an act.. I think. For an Oscar winner who’s known for being one of the most fan-friendliest stars around, Clooney is on top of the world. And now he’s in Paradise,.. that’s what we earthlings call Hawaii, filming his latest film THE DESCENDANTS, a dramedy adaptation directed by Alexander Payne (Sideways, About Schmidt). Co-starring Mary Birdsong and young actress Shailene Woodley (ABC’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager) probably set to play one of Clooney’s character’s daughters.
Hollywood Reporter said today that Judy Greer, Beau Bridges, Matthew Lillard, and Robert Forster have joined the cast as well, although their roles were not revealed.

Shailene Woodley Joins Alexander Payne’s THE DESCENDANTS
Variety says young actress Shailene Woodley (ABC’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager) will star alongside George Clooney in the adaptation of THE DESCENDANTS from director Alexander Payne (Sideways, About Schmidt). Clooney brought the best out of young actress Anna Kendrick in Up In The Air last fall, could the same luck happen to Woodley?

THE LONE RANGER Script Review
This past summer, producer Jerry Bruckheimer said that THE LONE RANGER movie based on the classic series, is going to happen later, possibly after PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGERS TIDE and for a while we know that Johnny Depp is very much interested in playing Tonto the sidekick. The name Mike Newell (Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time) was rumored to helm but the project currently doesn’t have a director attached. George Clooney was once rumored to be interested in playing the masked hero of the old west. I think he’d be perfect. So far, this project is filed under ‘in development’, in the time being, IESB’s Ghost has read the script… Read the rest of this entry »
UP IN THE AIR Is NBR’s Best Film Of 2009
I’m finally gonna see UP IN THE AIR this weekend, I can’t wait to check out what the buzz is all about. All this time, I’ve been holding back my excitement because the footage, clips, posters were just ok, to say the very least. I even think the plot is going to be generic and predictable. But we are now in fall season, meaning that not only are we going to be encountering more and more Oscar worthy movies in theaters but we’re also going to be hearing more and more of people’s selections on what they think the best movies of the year are, the best actors and on and on. National Board of Review has come up with their list and named UP IN THE AIR as Best Film Of The Year.
I’m also certain now that Jason Reitman’s new movie is going to be one of the 10 nominations for the highest category at the upcoming Oscars. They also named Carey Mulligan as Best Actress for An Education but then split the Best Actor recognition to both Morgan Freeman for Invictus and George Clooney for Up In The Air. Their list is quite fair if you ask me, check out more after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »
Brand New UP IN THE AIR Trailer
Here’s the new trailer for UP IN THE AIR with quotes from the critics praising the movie, specifically director Jason Reitman and George Clooney’s performance. It’s almost guaranteed that this adaptation will be one of the 10 nominees for Best Picture but I’m not gung-ho about it just yet until I judge the movie for myself. This new trailer features Danny McBride (Land Of The Lost). Watch the trailer after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »
FANTASTIC Mr. FOX Featurette: Recording The Voices
This new behind the scenes featurette from the upcoming FANTASTIC Mr. FOX, via Yahoo, is titled ‘Recording the Voices’, but all the video basically talks about is how George Clooney’s voice perfectly matches the character Mr. Fox. Praising Clooney to be the next Carey Grant who can talk his way out of anything. But it is interesting to watch the unconventional ways and manners to record the voices for the related scenes in the split-screen format… Read the rest of this entry »

THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS 2nd Funny Trailer
The 2nd trailer for THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS has been released by Overture and you can watch it using the media player below. It has more new comical situation than the previous one and it ends with The Silence Of The Goats. This could be a favorite to win Golden Globe for Best Comedy. The movie made its way through festival circuit and I’ve read good reviews about it, but what I’d like to see is how much the hilarious clash between Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey would steal the show from Ewan McGregor and George Clooney.
Watch the new trailer after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »
You Can Watch Movies On The Weather Channel
Well, I guess it’s bound to happen sooner or later, MTV is not much about music videos anymore, Sci-Fi turned into SyFy because it wanted to broaden its horizon, the competition and today’s trend forces certain network to evolve and adjust. The way I see it, those channels compromised and sacrificed their niche all in the name of trying to get ratings. But in this following case, I can understand the need to change because honestly, I’ve always found The Weather Channel to be the least useful channel on TV. Because I can get the same info about a certain place from my iPhone… Read the rest of this entry »
