Impawards has this Russian poster for PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME (watch the new trailer). Does anybody know what that tagline is saying in English?? Or better question would be.. is Ben Kingsley the only one in the cast that looks like he could be Persian? Click on the image above to enlarge.

From the team that brought the “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy to the big screen, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia and based on the video game of the same name. A rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

James Cameron revealed, via LA TIMES, that he offered the role Jake Sully to a few big names because Fox wanted “a bankable star to offset some of the risks of the expensive project” Turns out, Matt Damon and Jake Gyllenhaal those names but they said no, they turned down Cameron. In my book, Jeffrey Wright is a great actor. If you’ve seen him in the old HBO’s miniseries Angels In America, you’d know what I’m talkin’ about. Which is why it bugs me that he doesn’t get to do much in Daniel Craig’s James Bond movie, Wright deserves better role, better screen time than that. According to Heat Vision, the woman whose curvaceous behind gave Up In The Air a wow factor, Vera Farmiga, and the woman who ran around panicking with Labeouf in Eagle Eye, Michelle Monaghan, have joined the cast of SOURCE CODE, a sci-fi thriller to be directed by Duncan Jones whose achievement last year, Moon unfortunately would not get a shot at the Oscars thanks to the unmotivated Sony Pictures Classic.
