Justin Timberlake The Social Network1

Whoa! Check this out, Justin Timberlake has gone back in time and recaptured his NSync curly hairstyle. At least that’s what DailyMail observed after getting its hands on this first look set photo of the pop star/actor turned actor playing the co-founder of Napster, Sean Parker who helped Mark Zuckerberg (played by Jesse Eisenberg) make FACEBOOK the giant that we know today in the biopic movie THE SOCIAL NETWORK, directed by David Fincher, scripted by Aaron Sorkin, based on the book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich (check out synopsis). Scott Rudin, Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti are producing with a budget of $47 Million. Check out the photo after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »

Zombieland

We’re getting close to award season and there are lots of FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION ads out there encouraging Oscar voters to side with Pixar’s Up or Where The Wild Things Are or certain actors for certain categories. Well I figured I’d start my own segment but NOT for the obvious. And by that I mean, of course Oscar buzz will be surrounding Daniel Day-Lewis cause he’s Daniel freakin’ Day Lewis! But what about those overlooked performances this year?!
So here’s the first, For your consideration.. Woody Harrelson for Best Actor (Zombieland)… Read the rest of this entry »

Timberlake, Eisenberg, Garfield

UPDATE: Variety has confirmed this casting info to be TRUE. Eisenberg, JT, and Garfield are indeed in this movie THE SOCIAL NETWORK respectively as Zuckerberg, Parker and Saverin

Forget Michael Cera or Shia Labeouf, because if the following rumor gets confirmed, we might have the lead cast for THE SOCIAL NETWORK, the biopic about the birth and rise of FACEBOOK, which was greenlit not too long ago. The actor rumored to play Facebook founder, the billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, is Jesse Eisenberg, at least that’s what Scriptshadow said. I’m not so sure how to judge Eisenberg yet, he’s just like Cera, entertaining and yet always the same guy in all his movies. There’s more, the one rumored to play the co-founder Napster founder, Sean Parker is Justin Timberlake. He was not too shabby in Black Snake Moan and Alpha Dog and I think Timberlake would be decent in this role but I understand why WB didn’t pick him as THE GREEN LANTERN.
Last but not least, the actor rumored to play Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, is Andrew Garfield, he’s the dude from Lions For Lambs and will next be seen in the upcoming THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS

Fight Club and Benjamin Button director David Fincher is officially locked in to direct, using a script by Aaron Sorkin based on the book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich (check out synopsis), via slashfilm. The deal has been signed and Scott Rudin, Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti will be producing. Production starts this October in Cambridge and Boston with a budget of $47 Million

ZOMBIELAND

Images from the upcoming Columbia Pictures’ action frightfest, ZOMBIELAND has hit the web via AICN. Starring Jesse Eisenberg as Columbus, a teenage who has made a habit of running from what scares him. Woody Harrelson plays Tallahassee, the zombie killer, ultimate badass who doesn’t have fears. Also starring Abigail Breslin, Emma Stone, hottie Amber Heard and Bill Murray as an undead, now that’s gotta be worth watching. This is going to be so much fun, I can’t wait for the trailer

CEREMONY For Angarano And Eisenberg

angarano-eisenberg

The kid from Forbidden Kingdom meets the kid from Adventureland and what we get is a CEREMONY. According to Hollywood Reporter, Michael Angarano and Jesse Eisenberg has signed on in the comedy/drama written Max Winkler who’s also set to make his directorial debut.

Here’s the plot.. “a young man (Eisenberg) who falls hard for an older woman about to be married. The infatuation prompts him to take along his unwitting friend (Angarano) to a beach town in an effort to break up the wedding. Upon arriving, the young men quickly realize just how out of place they are among the stately British groom-to-be and his guests.”
No one has been cast yet to play the older British woman, but I say they should give that one to Kate Winslet. She already did a good job of romancing young one before anyway (The Reader).

Winkler wants this story to be funny and sad at the same time. Surely you’ve heard of his last name somewhere right?
Max Winkler is the son of Henry Winkler a.k.a The Fonz Aayyy!
CEREMONY is exec-produced by Jason Reitman (Juno), son of Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman.
And I am the son of my old man… I got nothing to do with this movie in case you’re wondering.

What do Angarano and Eisenberg have in common? Angarano used to date Kirsten Stewart who made out with Eisenberg in Adventureland. Useless fact, I know.
