Thanks to Empire, here we have 2 first look images of the upcoming medieval action film IRONCLAD starring James Purefoy who’s also star of  Solomon Kane.
IRONCLAD directed by Jonathan English, is about a member of the formidable Knights Templar (Purefoy) and his “Magnificent Seven” cohorts who defend Rochester Castle against King John (Paul Giamatti) and his army in 13th century England.
Co-starring some very notable thesps like Richard Attenborough, Robert Carlyle, Bob Hoskins, Pete Postlethwaite, Brian Cox, William Moseley, Jason Flemyng, Mackenzie Crook, plus hottie Kate Mara. If you haven’t seen Carey Mulligan this year in the excellent movie An Education, make sure you put that on your must-see list and check your local theaters to see if they’re playing it because come spring of next year she’d get either nominated or actually take home a golden statuette herself. And just like how Phillip Seymour Hoffman followed up his Capote win with a great villain role in MI:3, I think Mulligan would still be able to capture our heart playing Shia’s girl in the upcoming WALL STREET 2.
