Martin Scorsese Thinks Even Drama Like PRECIOUS Should Be In 3D. What The??
You already my stand in this matter. I don’t think that every movie should be shot in 3D or get a 3D conversion. I spoke with Black Dynamite director Scott Sanders who also shared the same sentiment. Action big budget blockbuster movies with lots of stunning VFX and exciting sequences like AVATAR would be great to watch in 3D, I’d love to see The Dark Knight gets re-released in 3D…but not emotional drama like The Blind Side. But, via Yahoo, legendary thick browed, fast talkin’ filmmaker Martin Scorsese seems to beg the differ… Read the rest of this entry »
Damn Rumor! Scorsese And Von Trier To Remake TAXI DRIVER, Starring De Niro Again
Some of my peers thought the 1976 Martin Scorsese classic movie Taxi Driver wasn’t all that but I thought it was a masterpiece in its own right. Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle who got sick and tired of the neighborhood scum and that whole final bloody scene was iconic. Which is why I thought Mel Gibson’s end scene in Edge Of Darkness strangely reminded me of Taxi Driver. Bickle just entered the den and shoot up the entire place, not caring about his own life. So I’d be lying if I say rumors like this don’t piss me off… Read the rest of this entry »

Quentin Tarantino Talks Scorsese, Directing RESERVOIR DOGS, And AVATAR-KILL BILL
As you know I’m a die hard fan of Quentin Tarantino, so when I watched these vibrant videos at slashfilm, I knew I had to share ‘em with you guys. In a recent panel in Santa Barbara this past weekend, via Hollywood Elsewhere, QT talked about how no matter what Brian de Palma did, there’s always Marty Scorsese that just topped his work, and also about first week of directing Reservoir Dogs and last but not least what he would’ve changed about Kill Bill if he had seen AVATAR first. What never ceases to impress me about QT is his sense of humor when telling a story, I mean the guy was sitting next to Todd Phillips, the director of last year’s funniest movie The Hangover but Tarantino’s hilarious comments and comeback seem to have stolen the event. Watch the videos after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »
SHUTTER ISLAND Superbowl Spot
The superbowl spot for SHUTTER ISLAND showed up early and you can watch it using the media player below. After waiting for so long, I sure hope Marty Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio don’t disappoint me with this adaptation because if my favorite Dennis Lehane book didn’t get justice, there’s gonna be hell to pay.. maybe not, I can’t threaten the great Scorsese cause I’ll be the one end up getting wacked… Read the rest of this entry »

Martin Scorsese deserved that Cecile B. DeMille Award last night.
