Real quick now, cause I’m still watching Winter Olympics 2010… ok, Milla Jovovich tweeted and revealed that the trailer for RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE in 3D (scheduled to open September 10th, 2010) will be attached to the print of the reboot A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET which is set to open on April 30th, 2010
Jovovich also said, via comingsoon.net, that she’s going to star in the indie comedy DIRTY GIRL with William H. Macy and Juno Temple in case you’re curious.
“it takes place in the early 80’s and its a comedy about two teens who run away from home leaving their dysfunctional parents freaking out.”

Anybody care? Me neither.

Previous info said that the release date for RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE got moved to January 14th, 2011 instead of this year’s August because director Paul W.S. Anderson needed more months to finish the movie and it would take longer for the 3D post production work. Although star Milla Jovovich was still convinced the movie would arrive sooner than that. Her faith has paid off because Shocktilyoudrop heard the fourth installment might return back to this year instead… Read the rest of this entry »

stone

The promo trailer of STONE that got leaked online back in September got me all hyped up about the reunion of Edward Norton and Robert De Niro, two great actors from two generations who are collaborating again since The Score. I just hope Milla Jovovich ’smediocre acting doesn’t ruin the moment. Based on a play by Junebug screenwriter Angus MacLachlan. Robert De Niro will play a parole officer who develops a certain friendship with a teaching assistant (Milla Jovovich) who happens to be the lover an inmate (Edward Norton)
Scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters sometime in 2010. Via comingsoon.net, STONE has Overture Films as its distributor. Press release after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »

UPDATE: Comingsoon.net and Shocktilyoudrop have confirmed that RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE now opens on January 14th, 2011 and PRIEST starring Paul Bettany, opens Aug. 27th, 2010.

I’ve been away for far too long today, so I’m gonna hit all the info like a freight train. Earlier today, shcktilyoudrop heard that the fourth installment in the franchise that many don’t give a crap about, RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE might have its release date pushed back as far as January 14th, 2011 instead of the initial August 27th, 2010.
When I heard this, I thought it was appropriate, what better way to treat a crapola than to dump it in the month of January… Read the rest of this entry »

RESIDENT EVIL 4: Set Video From Milla Jovovich

Resident Evil Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich doesn’t have anything better to do, I’m not just talking about him and her husband Paul W. S. Anderson keep making RESIDENT EVIL movies, but as I’ve mentioned before, she’s also been tweeting from the set consistently even on things that we don’t give a crap about, it’s like a weird addiction or a bad habit. She recently posted this video in a Toronto field that serves as an airplane graveyard. Production is almost over, RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE in 3D will opens August 27th, 2010. If  SHREK has the decency to end its franchise after the fourth installment, let’s hope the same reasonable sense gets into the heads of everyone involved in RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE, please let this be the last one ever! Watch the vibrant video after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »

Resident Evil Afterlife Logo

If you’re one of the few people on earth who for some odd reason still gives a damn about Resident Evil franchise, you’d be glad to know that Shocktilyoudrop is on of top of this mugga. The logo for RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE, the fourth installment in the series, was spotted at the recent AFM and the website also got its hand on a set photo showing Ali Larter, Milla Jovovich, and newbie Wentworth Miller on board of what appears to be a tanker ship. Check it out after this jump. O and by the way, if you wanna follow what’s going on every hour on the set, Milla is now a Twitter freak, she keeps tweeting using her mobile phone, giving you unofficial updates. One of the bad guy’s name is The Executioner, how the Japanese cracked her up, and she thinks Ali Larter’s ass looks amazing… Read the rest of this entry »

THE FOURTH KIND

The upcoming suspense/horror THE FOURTH KIND thinks that describing the different kinds of encounters with extra-terrestrials using archive footage would get you watch this latest Milla Jovovich movie. I beg to differ.
Besides, Paranormal Activity has set the bar really high, THE FOURTH KIND would have to offer better to compete with the phenomenon. Check out the vibrant video after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »

THE FOURTH KIND Poster

We saw the theatrical trailer for this upcoming alien abduction suspense titled THE FOURTH KIND. I like alien stories (as long as it’s not in Indiana Jones movie) which is why I was a hardcore fan of The X-Files series, the only problem is.. Milla Jovovich, she’s good at kicking ass and turning me on at the same time (Resident Evil, A Perfect Getaway) but she doesn’t look convincing as a psychologist who’s in way over her head, faced with a problem beyond this earth. At least that’s the impression I got from the trailer, maybe the movie will prove me wrong.
When I want an actress to look absolutely scared on screen, I want her to act as terrified as Liv Tyler in The Strangers and Jennifer Carpenter in Quarantine.
Joblo has the teaser poster for THE FOURTH KIND and it shows a guy lavitating.. no that’s not Criss Angel.

In 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to document…until now.
Structured unlike any film before it, “The Fourth Kind” is a provocative thriller set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where—mysteriously since the 1960s—a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered.
Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented.
Using never-before-seen archival footage that is integrated into the film, “The Fourth Kind” exposes the terrified revelations of multiple witnesses. Their accounts of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details, the validity of which is investigated throughout the film.

THE FOURTH KIND Trailer

Here’s to give you an idea of an unconventional alien suspense flick but I don’t know if audiences will like the format. Sci-Fi Wire has the trailer for THE FOURTH KIND starring Milla Jovovich, Will Patton, Elias Koteas and it’s directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, based on his screenplay. As you can see from the video below, it’s one of those movies that try to scare you by using true story accounts, but most scenes will be divided into actual footage incorporated into the movie. At this point, I don’t like how it crosses over, back and forth from Jovovich’s re-enactment and the footage. Does that format make the movie scarier to you?

A PERFECT GETAWAY Trailer

Yahoo has the trailer for A PERFECT GETAWAY, a thriller/horror/suspense flick perfect in time for the summer season that’s around the corner. If you think paradise island can’t feel like hell, then think again.
Maybe Jacob, Ben and the Island had something to do with why it’s so damn scary.. get it? ah..It’s a stupid inside joke for those of us who are fans of the TV series Lost.
For some reason I don’t know what, when I saw this trailer, what ran through my mind was last year’s The Ruins.
Directed by the man who brought us the Riddick movies, David Twohy, in A PERFECT GETAWAY, Timothy Olyphant and Kiele Sanchez are a pair of killers stalking two lovers who are in Hawaii for their honeymoon, played by Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn.

Cliff and Cydney are an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon by backpacking to one of the most beautiful, and remote, beaches in Hawaii. Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they’ve found paradise. But when the pair comes across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, they begin to question whether they should turn back. Unsure whether to stay or flee, Cliff and Cydney join up with two other couples, and things begin to go terrifyingly wrong. Far from civilization or rescue, everyone begins to look like a threat and nobody knows whom to trust. Paradise becomes hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins…

A PERFECT GETAWAY opens August 14th, 2009
