Just the other day, Marion Cotillard signed on to star alongside Owen Wilson in the new untitled project from Woody Allen. Today Hollywood Reporter said Rachel McAdams has also joined the cast. Obviously since Woody has been hush-hush about the entire thing, including the the title and the plot, so we don’t know yet which character McAdams will play. Shooting will take place in Paris this summer and it’s being financed under Woody’s 3-picture deal with Spain’s Mediapro.

Now we can know for certain that Sam Raimi is indeed looking for another female lead in SPIDER-MAN 4. After the rumor about Rachel McAdams earlier today, Brit actress Romola Garai (Amazing Grace, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights) revealed via The Observer that she was trying to get a part in the movie but she also didn’t sound like she was keeping her hopes up…
“Love is at the root of everything good that has ever happened and will happen.” This phrase swam into focus as I moved up the escalator at Oxford Circus tube on Tuesday morning on my way to put myself “on tape” for a part in Spider-Man 4. This is the acting equivalent of the London Marathon in that it’s important to try your best as long as you understand that you aren’t going to win.

A viral website for SHERLOCK HOLMES has been released to the web by Warner Bros and it looks awfully lame at this point. The website location is at http://94.236.57.221. And when you arrive there, you’d have to type in the word IRENE (Rachel McAdams‘ character’s name the movie) and then out comes a man in a hoodie, I thought it was Darth Sidious, talking cryptic about words, to know, to will and I got a feeling what he says is some kind of a code that would lead to unlocking more features from this website or helping us understand what on earth is going on but for a movie about the greatest fictional detective of all time, this just doesn’t do the anticipation justice. It then takes you to a page where you can sign up your e-mail for further updates.
SHERLOCK HOLMES (check out the trailer) opens Christmas Day.
Unfortunately, I did not get to attend the panels for WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, JONAH HEX, and SHERLOCK HOLMES. Sorry guys, I had to interview Wanted 2 director Timur Bekmambetov at that same time and once that was over with, I was too late to enter Hall H. But I’ll try to collect some info about those 3 panels for you later this weekend, but only IF.. if there’s actually anything interesting that happened.
