A banner for the upcoming Columbia Pictures comedy GROWN UPS (watch the trailer) showed up online featuring photos of the stars when they were kids. Look, Kevin James was hella skinny and Chris Rock apparently looked exactly the same all these years, was David Spade a girl? I’ve also included screenshot from the official website, an image which I think will be the basis for the poster, just for comparison purposes, to give you that before and after effect. And below that are 3 more stills, via comingsoon,  from the movie that finally brings together these real life best friends. This could mean either a perfect combo or a potent mix for disaster. In my opinion, this movie should’ve been called ‘Adam Sandler and his 3 friends whose movie careers somehow still exist only because Sandler’s movie career somehow still exists.’ Sony has released the teaser for GROWN UPS. A Happy Madison comedy about five best friends from high school who reunite 30 years later on a Fourth of July weekend starring Kevin James, Adam Sandler and Sandler’s 90’s SNL gang Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Tim Meadows. Feels good to know Sandler, doesn’t it?! You’ll always be on screen even when your time was actually already up and gone a long time ago. Co-starring Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello and the 4 year old kid sucking on Bello’s breasts.

Why do I share this post about Rob Schneider? Pity maybe, I feel sorry for the dude, it must be tough trying to get out of Adam Sandler’s shadow all these years. He still cracks me up when he does cameos like the Asian in Chuck & Larry or the Indian in Bedtime Stories but Schneider’s stand alone movies weren’t big hit, The Hot Chick was bearable only because it had two actual hot chicks in the movie, Rachel McAdams and Anna Faris.

So what’s next for the man who often yells “You can do it!”? According to Hollywood Reporter, he’s going to be yet another supporting character, a fairly insignificant role if I might add.
Rob Schneider has joined the cast of YOU MAY NOT KISS THE BRIDE along with Dave Annable, Vinnie Jones, Katharine McPhee, Mena Suvari, Tia Carrere and Ken Davitian (the fat guy that Borat wrestled naked with)
Schneider will play a daredevil helicopter pilot in Tahiti named Ernesto in this romantic comedy about American pet photographer who gets mixed up with Croatian mobsters while on a honeymoon with a gangster’s daughter. Boy can you think of a lamer plot than that?!
