Disney that bought Marvel last year bought a bunch of domain names recently and one of them stands out. Via Stitchkingdom and slashfilm, it’s none other than ANT-MAN-THEMOVIE.COM. Does this confirm what Stan Lee tweeted not too long ago about the live action movie actually happening with Edgar Wright as the director? Disney probably just bought the domain just in case the movie does get made they won’t have to worry then, because a site is up and ready for further work. I remember Disney also bought a website domain for MONSTERS INC. 2 last year but it’s not like the sequel is already in development.
So ANT-MAN The Movie.. seriously.. I still could care less about this particular superhero.

How much do you believe in Stan Lee? He is after all one of the godfather of comics and superheroes, so his word is more than often reliable right? He won’t be pulling our leg for no reason. If Stan Lee told you to hit your head with a baseball bat repeatedly, would you do it? To comic geeks, Lee is like Zeus. I gotta say, the highlight of playing the old Spider-Man video game was listening to Lee explaining the plot, it’s like listening to another grandpa telling a really cool bedtime story. Lee recently had a chat with Access Hollywood and spoke about why he thought the idea of rebooting SPIDER-MAN is good for our souls and he talked briefly about his Larry King-like cameo in IRON MAN 2. Whether you hate or love the marriage of Disney and Marvel, in the end the opinion that we need to know is what the great Stan Lee thinks about all this and he couldn’t sound any happier, via Joblo, guess part of the deal is to keep having him do cameos wearing the Mouse hat in the next Superhero movie. You can read what he said after the jump but he basically put it this way, nobody can elevate Marvel’s characters that the very company that’s been good at that game forever. A few months ago, Latinoreview reported that the writing team Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick of the upcoming Zombieland would pen the screenplay for VENOM Movie which I thought was a great idea because that character is still one of the most menacing, powerful villains in the superhero world that unfortunately didn’t get a decent portrayal in Spider-Man 3. And if you’ve seen the bloody fun time trailer for Zombieland, you’d believe that Reese and Wernick could write an entertaining, badass VENOM Movie. The two scribes said they weren’t experts but they were going to re-learn the mythology again to get this right for the fans.

We don’t know what they have for the storyline yet but what we do know is that, via Superherohype, comic legend Stan Lee once again will do a cameo. Reese and Wernick said that they’ve written a part for Lee whose funny appearances are some of the highlights in Marvel movies. Just recently, Nukethefridge said Lee’s going to play a Larry King-like personality interviewing Tony Stark in IRON MAN 2.

Ya know what’s more fun than watching those superhero movies? Watching Stan Lee’s cameo in those movies. He always shows up even for a brief second doing something so random, it’s entertaining. For IRON MAN 2, he’ll appear for a longer time than usual because according to NukeTheFridge, he’s going to play Larry King.

O man, it’s going to be so much fun watching him play the ancient host. Just imagine Stan Lee without his mustache, but wearing tie, old man’s glasses and the famous suspenders. He’s going to easily steal the show.
In this alternate world, Lee as Larry King will interview Tony Stark about his new, modified “black” Iron Man suit. IRON MAN 2 opens May 7th, 2010

I wonder what Rama’s SCREEN reader would think about this next Jekyll and Hyde rendition, we already got Forest Whitaker’s and Keanu’s going on. According to Hollywood Reporter, comic legend Stan Lee’s project that’s set up at Disney, NICK RATCHETT has now found itself 2 writers by the name of Douglas Cook and David Weisberg (The Rock, Double Jeopardy)

It’s described a lighthearted mystery thriller, I’ll take that as… somewhat family friendly.
It’s about a meek, ineffectual police officer and his struggle with his online alter-ego, a tough avatar cop named Nick Ratchet who emerges from inside a video game. It’s Jekyll and Hyde with cyber twist.
Lee came up with the whole concept and Richard LaGravenese will direct.
