king-arthur

The age of English kings and knights are coming back. Ridley Scott’s got ROBIN HOOD for us this summer.. although it looks more like Maximus with bow and arrow. Both Bryan Singer and Guy Ritchie now each has EXCALIBUR of their own, let’s see how those two would work out. And now LA Times said Sylvain White (Stomp The Yard) is bringing his own tale of King Arthur in PENDRAGONRead the rest of this entry »

the losers1

We saw the ET’s first footage and now WB has released the teaser trailer, via MSN, for THE LOSERS. Remember Armageddon Vs. Deep Impact back in 1998? Well this year we have THE A-TEAM Vs. THE LOSERS. Both teams betrayed, both teams are soldiers, both teams have people with peculiar skills and characteristics. Which movie do you think will win? That tricky last part of the trailer reminds me of Crank where Jason Statham shot the bad guys by just pointing his fingers at him. Watch the trailer after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

The Losers

Stringer Bell.. ehm, I mean.. actor Idris Elba has posted this first look photo via his Twitter, it’s the guys of THE LOSERS, from left to right are Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Chris Evans, Oscar Jaenada, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan just chillin’ for the camera, on the film set somewhere in Puerto Rico. That’s odd, they’re in an exotic place, in between takes and they got no pina colada in their hands?!

Sylvain White Talks Frank Miller’s RONIN

Frank Miller Ronin Sylvain White

It’s late night here and there are no stars in the sky cause of that stupid smog up in the air, either that or the stars just don’t wanna show up over Riverside, CA. So before I go to sleep, I figure I’d tackle this, Director Sylvain White is filming the adaptation THE LOSERS but he’s also set to direct RONIN, not the 1998 Robert De Niro movie version, but based on the graphic novel series series by Frank Miller, (you can read the rest OVER THERE) it takes place in a dystopic near-future New York in which a samurai warrior without a master is reincarnated
White wants to do it in 3D but not like Zack Snyder did 300 and Watchmen, well, here’s basically what he said, via Collider..

If I went to ‘Ronin,’ it would be a very dark, futuristic, sci-fi film, so I’m not worried.
It’s a big-budget, big blockbuster take on it. I’d love to do it in 3D. I think it’d be ridiculous and amazing. That’s an additional budget issue, but it’s the kind of movie that would be great. I think it’d make a brilliant video game as well – something along the lines of “Assassin’s Creed” but from a first-person perspective. I think it’s just a great property and a great concept. It’s got so many ideas in it in terms of commentary and philosophy. Frank Miller is a genius when it comes to that. It took so long because the source material is so complex. It’s very difficult, and it’s not linear, and it doesn’t really fit into a film format off the bat. It’s not a straight adaptation like “300″ was or even “Watchmen”. It’s not as simple. Zack’s going to kill me. [Laughs] But I think with “Ronin” we need a little bit of streamlining, otherwise it’s too esoteric. You need a little bit of streamlining, but the story and the characters, if I get to do that movie, will all be there. I’m the guy who wants to respect the authors and the source material as a fan of graphic novels who grew up reading them whether it be in Europe or here. It’s something that needs to be done right, and it hasn’t really been done right.
