THE A-TEAM Lo-Res Teaser Poster

The A-Team1

I was at a local theater in Stockton, CA and I noticed the place had the teaser poster for my most anticipated movie of 2010, THE A-TEAM (Watch the trailer). So I snapped this photo using my iphone, which is why the quality isn’t so sharp, it’ll do til the official version hits the web. As you can see, they basically used similar shot from the first look image but they just positioned all the characters differently and took Hannibal’s cigar out of the picture. No credits at the bottom and the tagline on the top says ‘there is no plan B’. View the entire image after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

THE A-TEAM Prequel Comic Book Series

Posted by Rama On February - 23 - 2010

The A-Team Comic

Like I’ve said a thousand times before, I’m a hardcore fan of the 80s series THE A-TEAM, which is why I can’t wait to see Joe Carnahan’s take on Hannibal, Face, B.A. and Murdock when the movie version hits theaters this summer (Watch the trailer), which is also why even info like this is mandatory in my book. Via Collider, Twentieth Century Fox and IDW Publishing are going to release THE A-TEAM Comic books that tell the story leading up to the movie and the team’s first missions. Kinda like that John McLane’s DIE HARD: YEAR ONE Graphic novel.
WAR STORIES, four stand-alone, bi-weekly issues that will chronicle each of the characters’ Desert Storm adventures before they join THE A-TEAM, the next one is SHOTGUN WEDDING a bi-weekly four issue series, about THE A-TEAM’s early missions after the team is formed. Director Joe Carnahan helped out with the plots and each series will also be collected into individual graphic novels, available in May. Check out more artwork OVER THERE and I got a couple below, after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

THE A-TEAM: 6 New Photos

Posted by Rama On January - 14 - 2010

The A-Team

Here are 6 new photos, via comingsoon.net, from the upcoming big screen version of my favorite 80s series THE A-TEAM (watch the trailer). Liam Neeson plays Hannibal Smith. Sharlto Copley as Murdock. Bradley Cooper as Face and Rampage as B.A. Baracus. Also starring Jessica Biel. Directed by Joe Carnahan. Produced by Ridley and Tony Scott, with screenplay written by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt (Wanted). I’m still curious as to how mad Sharlto Copley’s Murdock is going to be in this movie, so far I got the impression that he’s going to be a lot calmer than the original character played by Dwight Schultz. THE A-TEAM Trailer Is Here!

Posted by Rama On January - 8 - 2010

A-Team

Booya! The trailer for THE A-TEAM is here! My god Liam Neeson looks like George Peppard resurrected. Sharlto Copley’s version of Murdock is not as howlin’ mad as I expected him to be. And yes, I miss the van too. I love it when a plan comes together. Hurry, watch the trailer after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

THE A-TEAM Trailer Description

Posted by Rama On January - 5 - 2010

A-Team

I love it when the plan comes together! Yeah, baby!!! A movie theater projectionist has seen the first trailer for THE A-TEAM and told Harry of AICN about it, here’s what’s awesome, expect the trailer to arrive this upcoming weekend, cross your fingers.  The runtime is 1:41 and judging from the description below, sounds like director Joe Carnahan has tried his best to not disappoint the fans by injecting some nostalgic instances from the original series, the tagline could be catchier though. I’m willing to give this a fighting chance. Read the trailer description after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »

Mr. T Won’t Be In THE A-TEAM Movie

Posted by Rama On December - 27 - 2009

Mr. T

If there’s one person from the original A-TEAM that I think could still reprise his role, it’s Mr. T. If I were a filmmaker, I’d cast him in all my movies as random characters even for just one minute appearance, that’d be my hilarious signature mark. Let’s face it, UFC fighter/actor Rampage as B.A. is an ok casting choice but I doubt he can capture the irritated comical timing that Mr. T showed whenever he was angry at Murdock for tricking him into getting on an airplane. For those of you who are not familiar with my favorite series of the 80s, B.A. hated flying. But sadly, Mr. T told Latinoreview that unlike Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict, he won’t be doing cameo in THE A-TEAM movie, directed by Joe Carnahan... Read the rest of this entry »

Dirk Benedict Has A Cameo In THE A-TEAM

Posted by Rama On November - 25 - 2009

A-Team Dirk Benedict

When it was revealed that original Howlin’ Mad Murdock, Dwight Schultz will be making cameo appearance in the big screen version of THE A-TEAM, I was wondering why they wouldn’t also call back Dirk Benedict and Mr. T to do the same, well, be careful what you wish for, right? Because DirkBenedictCentral says the original Templeton “Faceman” Peck will also be making a cameo, his character will be played by Bradley Cooper (The Hangover), great choice in my opinion… Read the rest of this entry »

Dwight Schultz Has A Cameo In THE A-TEAM

The A-Team

I know all this time I’ve been talking trash about Sharlto Copley for playing Howlin’ Mad Murdock in my most anticipated movie of 2010, THE A-TEAM based on one of the coolest TV series in the 80s. I’ve always pictured Jim Carrey or possibly Woody Harrelson for the role but not Copley. However, I’m willing to give him a fighting chance because turns out, the man who played Murdock in the original show, the great Dwight Schultz actually enjoyed Copley’s portrayal. Here’s the more awesome info though, Schultz will have a cameo in THE A-TEAM big screen version. Is that awesome or what!… Read the rest of this entry »

Look AT THE A-TEAM First Official Image

Posted by Rama On October - 23 - 2009

A-Team

Holy crap! The first official image of THE A-TEAM has arrived and I’m stunned by how similar Liam Neeson’s appearance is to the late great George Peppard, complete with the cigar and the cocky smile and the outfit. Aside from Sharlto Copley as Murdock, I think this as close as you can get to perfect casting. Bradley Cooper as Face and Rampage as B.A. Baracus. Finally, my favorite series is getting a worthy big screen treatment. Director Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces) better not screw this up!

ET’s THE A-TEAM Set Visit Video

Posted by Rama On October - 22 - 2009

A-TEAM

The annoying Entertainment Tonight visited the set of my most anticipated movie of 2010, based on the best series from the 80s, THE A-TEAM and interviewed Bradley Cooper as Faceman, Jessica Biel plays his ex and Rampage is B.A. Baracus with his mohawk reminiscent of Mr. T. The funny thing is even though Sharlto Copley is playing Howlin’ Mad Murdock, from afar he kinds looks like Dirk Benedict who played Faceman in the series. Check out the very brief set footage after this jump… Read the rest of this entry »
