Robert Rodriguez has been attached to the live action THE JETSONS movie for quite some time, last we heard they might even start production next year and he was enthusiastic about it, but now we can kiss that goodbye because the filmmaker with the cowboy hat has gotten way too busy. Panjiba reported Rodriguez is NOT directing THE JETSONS, in fact the job might be handed over to Peter Segal (Tommy Boy, Anger Management, Get Smart)… Read the rest of this entry »

THE Unhappy JETSONS

Posted by Rama On September - 23 - 2009

As we know, Robert Rodriguez has always wanted to develop THE JETSONS movie although it’s not something that would happen for him anytime soon, but if Collegehumor had its way, THE JETSONS Movie would probably have a plot much like the one in the vibrant video above, where everything comes crashing down and all because George Jetson couldn’t keep his d*ck in his pants

JETSONS Movie Starts Filming Next Year

What do I think about a live action THE JETSONS Movie? They better cast the right woman to play the mom, Jane Jetson, cause she was a ‘fox’. I had a thing for animated older hot women. This project has been attached to director Robert Rodriguez since the days of ancient egypt,.wait, too far back,.. fast foward.. about three years or so now, but that’s still a long time. I thought he’s forgotten about it completely but he told MTV that it’s still happening. Adam Goldberg (Fanboys) wrote the early draft which is being reworked.

“I’ve been developing [The Jetsons] for awhile,”
“we’re writing the script right now,”

He also told them that they’re going to start production next year. Rodriguez has a lot on his plate, he’s producing PREDATORS Reboot, he’s got that sci-fi action NERVERACKER, and then SIN CITY 2 (which I think would take a few more years before it becomes a reality) and Grindhouse spin-off, MACHETE, badass actor Danny Trejo told me that the filming for that starts this month.
I think Rodriguez is a cool filmmaker but don’t you think he’s the wrong man for THE JETSONS? I just don’t want it to turn out like Spy Kids and Shorts, just check out the cheesy trailer and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
I wonder what Hannah-Barbera would think about this.
