Let’s be honest! Who of you have watched the recent teaser trailer for TRON LEGACY about a thousand times again and again? Cause I have, maybe not that frequent but it’s just one of those trailers that gives you hope of a visually euphoric movie watching experience, I can’t wait for my birthday in December, it’s gonna be the coolest gift in the world. Disney has released the hi-res big-ass billboard artwork above for TRON LEGACY, (click on the image to seriously enlarge) I’m sure you’ll be able to see it on display around your local area.
That’s not all, Walt Disney World in Florida will transform their Epcot monorail line with Tron Legacy light cycle artwork, which will be launched as early as this month. As promised, the teaser trailer for TRON LEGACY has hit the web, via program-glitch, you can watch it using the media player below. The medium doesn’t do the trailer justice because watching it in 3D IMAX attached to ALICE IN WONDERLAND was.. a mindblowing experience to say the very least. I’m just glad this will be my birthday movie this year.. definitely looks like a game-changer, one that I hope can offer a solid story as memorable as the stunning visual itself. I finally got to see TRON LEGACY new teaser trailer last night attached to ALICE IN WONDERLAND and I gotta be honest, the trailer was everything that the buzz was talkin’ about, definitely a mindblowing visual cyber feast that may become this year’s game-changer. Usually when a trailer is set to arrive on a certain weekend, it means that it will hit the web a couple of days before on that same week but Disney is keeping the trailer in theaters for the time being so that you and I and everybody all over the world can enjoy it in the way that it’s intended. We saw Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) entering Flynn’s Arcade the other day and now Disney has released another image, via Facebook. Now you get a better look at the machine that will reveal the secret door. 1 Day left before the final image, and the new trailer will be attached to ALICE IN WONDERLAND which will hit theaters and IMAX 3D tonight at midnight. Tickets are already sold out in most places.
On another note, along the same line, Hollywood Reporter said TRON animated series is being developed by Disney Channels Worldwide and it will follow the theatrical release of the anticipated sequel this December.
There’s also going to be a 10-part “Tron” micro-series geared towards kids age 6-14, premiering in fall 2011 on Disney XD.

As I’ve mentioned yesterday, Disney is releasing new TRON LEGACY image every day, via Facebook, this week leading up to the anticipated trailer that will be attached to ALICE IN WONDERLAND this weekend. Here’s another one, showing Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) entering Flynn’s Arcade, as previously screened at Comic-Con ‘09. He’s approaching a machine that reveals a secret door.

Disney is unleashing new TRON LEGACY image each day in addition to the previous one, and today, via Facebook, is this shot of Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) in the reflection. He rode his bike to Flynn’s Arcade to look into his father’s disappearance. The new trailer is attached to ALICE IN WONDERLAND this weekend but I’m sure it will hit the web before that, a version which I think won’t do enough justice. I remember last year when AVATAR trailer hit the web, people weren’t impressed, many even made fun of it, who knew the movie would bank $2 Billion.
On another note, BlueSkyDisney is reporting that if TRON LEGACY does well at the box office this December, the mouse house might want some sequels, in other words, TRON LEGACY might be the first installment of a new trilogy. Like I said this past weekend, unfortunately I didn’t get to attend the IMAX screening of TRON LEGACY’s latest trailer so I’m just gonna have to wait to see it attached to ALICE IN WONDERLAND this weekend. But this new image, via badtaste.it indicates that the new trailer for TRON LEGACY includes that one scene shown last year at Comic-Con ‘09. I always wondered why they never released it online, but the timing wasn’t right. The website Pit Cell has the new image above of TRON LEGACY. Along with that is an EXCLUSIVE LIMITED EVENT that will happen in 4 major cities across the globe.. L.A., NY, London, Toronto and Syndey, mate!
Tickets will be released on the website tomorrow, February 25th, 2010 @4PM, EST. I’ll check the one for L.A. at 1 PM. Here’s an important note to keep in mind…”You need to be a registered member of Flynn Lives in order to sign up for tickets. To expedite this process, we suggest registering now – once the tickets become available, they will go fast. However, please note that pre-registering does not guarantee getting a ticket. Ok, that confusing code-laden TRON LEGACY Viral Site ZERO HOUR now leads to a new page called FLYNN LIVES.

We are deploying envoys to 27 locations around the world and we need you to meet up with the Flynn Lives contact in your area. Check the link below to find out when and where this rendezvous will take place. Then, get ready to hit the streets.

If you’re still curious enough to play the game, you need to go to http://www.flynnlives.com/zerohour.htm, any location that the site has opened, you can click on that, and it will take you to a PDF file that informs you of the rendezvous place, time and password.
I’m currently nowhere near any of the 27 locations but if you’re lucky enough to do this task and find your contact who is wearing a Flynn Lives T-Shirt, let me know what’s up.
By the way, on that same page of Flynn Lives/Zero Hour, at the bottom there are lists of Field Operatives. Once again, I’m not a puzzle guy, so I have no clue as to what’s going on in here. I just can’t wait for the sequel already.
