GEORGIA On Emmanuelle Chriqui’s Mind

Emmanuelle Chriqui

Those of us fans of the series Entourage would recognize gorgeous actress Emmanuelle Chriqui (pronounced ‘Shreeky’), her character Sloane and E were always in this annoying on and off relationship that hurts my head just thinking about it. Chiriqui was probably the only decent one in Zohan. Unfortunately he has signed on to star in a project that may not be promising for her career, all because of the project’s association with the director and the co-star… Read the rest of this entry »

THE IRISHMAN Trio

Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems Irish is getting to be a more popular ethnic, if you will, in cinema. I watched TV the other day and Dennis Leary’s series Rescue Me was on and there was so much Irish pride in that show, The Departed was about Irish mobster, Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale’s next project THE FIGHTER is about 2 Irish brothers. And here’s another one…

According to Hollywood Reporter, the Punisher Ray Stevenson, the old multi-talented Christopher Walken, and the has-been Val Kilmer are going to star in the mobster movie adaptation THE IRISHMAN based on the novel TO KILL THE IRISHMAN: THE WAR THAT CRIPPLED THE MAFIA about “the true story of fearless Irish-American racketeer Danny Green who takes on the mob in the 1970s. The end result is the fall of several Mafia families and the defection of high-ranking mobsters. Author Rick Porrello is a veteran cop who wrote about his mob roots in The Rise and Fall of the Cleveland Mafia

Stevenson will play Danny Greene, Walken will play the loan shark and nightclub owner Shondor Birns, and Kilmer will play a Cleveland police detective who befriends Greene. Production will start May 19th in Detroit. The script was written by Jeremy Walters and Jonathan Hensleigh who by the way wrote Tom Jane’s The Punisher and Jumanji.

After having seen Johnny Depp’s new movie PUBLIC ENEMIES (which is absolutely thrilling) I’ve come to realize that I can’t get enough of mobster/gangster movies. It’s a genre that I’ll probably will never get bored of. But with THE IRISHMAN, the thing I’m worried about is associating with Val Kilmer. If you’ve looked up online, you’d notice that you won’t even recognize half the titles he’s done in the last 10 years. I sure hope Walken and Stevenson don’t get dragged down to his level.

STREETS OF BLOOD Restricted Teaser

The image above is crappy I know, the movie’s probably going to be just as crappy but maybe it’s your cup of tea, who knows. The restricted promo teaser for STREETS OF BLOOD has somehow hit the web. Starring Val Kilmer who, in my opinion, only had one decent movie in the last 10 years, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Also starring Sharon Stone and 50 Cent, 2 more reasons why we probably wouldn’t waste our time and money on this. 50 Cent by the way reportedly lost 15 lbs for this role, do you hear Oscar? Nope all I hear is the sound of a cricket.
But look who’s in this too… Kyle Reese from the first Terminator movie, Michael Biehn. The man knows what life is like on the B-list. He’s reunited with his Tombstone fellow, Kilmer.
The movie supposedly opens this summer but I wouldn’t’ be surprised if hit DVD instead.

A police officer’s partner has died during Hurricane Katrina, but he later discovers that his partner may have been murdered. An investigation follows, taking the officer and his new partner into the depths of the criminal underworld.

STREETS OF BLOOD opens limited June 13th, 2009
